How Colors Effect Our Emotions

One of the most interesting things is how colors affect the way we think
and feel. They affect us whether we are aware of it or not. Some colors affect
us more then others but they all have their own individual properties that affect
the way people feel.
All colors don't affect all people in the same ways, however, there have been
extensive studies done that show how colors affect the majority of people in
the same ways.
There are some colors and what emotions these colors show to be raised with
each.
Blue is calming, peaceful and builds trust but dark blue refers to sadness,
depression, surprise and disappointment. Disappointment just can’t be helped at
times, and needs to be worked through. It makes you unhappy because something
in your life is not as good as you hoped it would be.
Red is the color of action, anger, power and especially love in which we can’t
control things with the feelings of joy and acceptance. Red also means
aggressiveness as a negative emotion; like the bulls becoming aggressive when
they see red color.
Green refers to acceptance, fear and also submission. It is the combination
of acceptance and fear; like a woman‘s submission to her husband or people’s
submission to the God.
Black shows seriousness, disgust, sadness, and remorse. Remorse is fine in
itself, but it doesn’t take away whatever caused the emotion. Instead of being
remorseful, try to do the something to change the situation in to a more positive
end.
Orange has the meaning of awe .Awe includes the feelings of fear and
surprise. Imagine that you are watching an eruption of a volcano you feel both
surprised and frightened.
Yellow shows happiness, cheerfulness and joy. Yellow exudes warmth and
optimism. It will almost always evoke a positive response. Optimism gives us
positive energy to push us forward through this life.
Purple is the color of contempt which is combined by disgust and anger.
Contempt is an intense feeling or attitude of regarding somebody or something
as inferior, base or worthless.
The relationship between color and emotion is closely tied to color
preferences. Your color choices show what you feel and how you feel.
