Greetings old bean, welcome to the British Empire. Here we drink tea, eat curry and
smoke opium. All the truly British things.
From 1497 to 1997 the British have spread across the world from America to India. It
was the empire on which the sun never set.
Until it did.
But maybe you can change that? You’ll have an entire era of work ahead of you so I
hope you’ve had enough tea to get you through it.
Era:
Angevin Empire
1154–1214
Ah a prequel lover I see? Good. This strange abomination is the result of King Henry
the 2nd, also lord of Normandy, marrying Eleanor of Aquitaine, creating the second
largest Empire in Europe at the time. Didn’t last that long mind you, with Richard the
Lionheart draining the nation’s treasury to fund his wars, John losing a lot of it to Philip
of France (huge wanker btw) but to this day it was the first time a English monarch
could be considered an Emperor. Except for Canute but we don’t talk about him.
Later on several colonies were set up on the east coast of America in what would
become the 13 colonies.
Along with this the British West Indies were founded along with the annexation of
Jamaica, Canada, colonies in India and several trade posts in Africa. Scotland also
attempted to found an empire but that failed, leading to the personal union between
Scotland and England becoming an economic and political one. This era ended with the
American revolution.
The power of Spain is starting to loosen, with old empires starting to slip, the time is
coming for newer stronger empires to rise and take their place.
Through the industrial revolution and the Napoleonic wars Britain grew from strength to
strength. Acquiring Australia, several more island nations and South Africa for a time.
Pax Britannica
1815-1914
Ah now we’re getting to the good stuff, with old Boney having finally buggered off Britain
is the superpower of the world. This is the era where most of our greatest inventions
were created as well as being a golden age. For Britain at least. Now for some reason
many non-British Britains seem to believe that we were quite ‘evil’ (pardon my French)
during this time. Most of our African colonies were set up in this timeframe as well as
the full conquest of India. Still I don’t see what all the fuss was about. What do you
mean we were drug dealers in the 30s?
World wars
1914-1945
Ah we get into a bit of a cock up here. After the death of King Edward, Britain went into
a bit of a down spiral called the world wars. Years of bloody warfare and the mass
destruction of major British cities. Some people believe that this marked the beginning
of the end for the Empire. But you get to meet Churchill so it kind of evens out.
Drop in
You don’t belong here mate. So naturally you don’t have a background or any proof
you’re allowed to be here. But good news, as long as you can do a passable English
accent you’ll be fine.
Commoner
Common as dirt. That’s what you are. Peasants make up the vast majority of the British
population for most of her history. But who knows maybe you’ll be the one to make it to
the top. But if you show up before the 1700s I wouldn’t hold your breath.
Businessman
The Empire was built on trade you know, from the merchants of old, the captains of
Victorian industry to the tech businessmen of the late 20th century. Profit is the name of
the game.
Nobility 100tp/200tp
Ah the good stuff. Barons, Lords, Counts and Dukes. You are a part of Britain's ruling
elite, at least until the mid to late 1900s. But before that your class of people held power
as well as privilege. For 100cp you start as a mid tier noble like a count/countess or a
lord/lady. For 200cp you can instead become a Prince/Princess or even King/Queen of
England.
Frenchman 100tp
My god, why would you choose this? You are now a garlic chewing, tutu loving, twirly
mustache having Frenchman. As the natural enemy of the Englishman I care very little
for you, you continental cretin.
Perks:

200tp Vaccination
There are an imperial ton of diseases spread about even 100 years ago that would
wreck us today. Luckily you’ve been vaccinated, any diseases or virus will have no
effect on you unless it is of supernatural or magical origin.
Commoner perks
Businessman perks
Some were even able to govern lands, exert influence over countries and rule vast
economic empires that stretched over the world. The first true Mega Corporation as you
see on the television was the Honourable East India Trade Company after all.
You have the skills needed to run a cut throat business empire with wealth rivaling that
of many great powers. While most nations today would try to curve your exponential
growth, the kingdoms you sell your goods and services to will sing your praises. This
may not apply to all the people you exploit but they don’t matter when the profit margin
is concerned.
Nobility perks
People tend to overlook your deeds no matter how heinous on the ground of the crown
on your head. Nothing short of genocide will dissuade your loyal subjecys as long the
illusion you care about them is maintained. God save the Jumper!

Major Scenarios
Plantagenet Prosperity
The Angevin Empire was the English royalty’s first attempt at imperialism. But within two
generations it fell apart. While most people explain King John but it was mostly due to
Richard spending all the realm’s money fighting in crusades, being ransomed and then
reclaiming lands lost to Philip.
But this doesn’t have to happen, if you can maintain the empire at its peak until the end
of your jump then you will be richly rewarded.
Reward:
Firstly you get the complete new history of the empire in great detail. You also get this
perk.
Hybrid Culture
When there are two or more major distinct cultures occupying a single nation then you
have the unique skill to fuse the best elements of both together into a stronger culture.
Imperial Federation
An alternative to the imperialist colonialism that the empire was founded on was the
Imperial Federation. A federative nation state headed by the King-Emperor of the British
empire, it would have had its own parliament while practicing devolution (giving member
states a great degree of autonomy within a larger political union)
It could have saved the empire if only it was implemented before the world wars. But
multiple issues thwarted the plan.
If you can successfully federalise the British Empire then you gain these rewards.
Rewards:
The Imperial Federation. Unlike Era Specific Empire you can insert the Federation into
your future jumps.
Family of Empire
Like a family, empires are many individuals each with their own lives interacting with
each other. This when left alone is utter chaos, ultimately causing the family/empire to
fall apart. Just like a parent or an emperor you can sort through the madness and
information in most situations, allowing you to turn that chaos you call a state into a
harmonious society with enough administrative capital to back you.
Napoleonic Legacy
Unfortunately Britain wasn’t the only empire in Western Europe. Napoleon Bonapart
conquered half of Europe and turned them into puppets and protectorates. But despite
all his successes Napoleon was defeated and his empire dismantled.
Think you can do better? Of course you can, you're British! Now you are the Italian
immigrant turned French emperor Napoleon starting at the beginning of the Second
British Empire era and will stay here until the end of the era. Your goal is to put the other
powers in Europe in a position where they won’t continually declare wars of coalition
against you.
This can be done by negotiation, puppeting them or down right conquest. Peace and
cooperation must be maintained for at least ten years solid across Europe. If you do this
you will win.
Rewards:
You take your empire’s European territories and client states with you, unlike Era
Specific Empire this can be inserted into future jumps.
Perk
Master of Europe.
You are a beast at war. You gain a mental encyclopedia of military strategy years ahead
of whatever your enemy has. It won’t work every time and will inevitably cease being
useful as enemies adapt to your strategies. But it is more useful than just at taking land,
it allows you to better hold it. Administering occupied regions becomes more efficient
and less resource intensive, truly making you the master of your empire.
Drawbacks
Transported +400tp
You have been a very naughty boy Jumper. You start your jump on a transport ship
heading to a penal colony. All perks and items are locked and you are left with your
body mod until you escape.
