Exercise
At the conclusion of this exercises you will be able to:

• Outline the organizational structure of Coop


• Create new organizational units and positions
• Assign an object as a holder of that position

You familiarize yourself with the basic properties of CRM organizational management

Logging on to the SAP CRM System


1. Logon to the SAP CRM system with the username and password provided

Navigate the Structure of the Organization


1. Start the transaction PPOMA_CRM for maintaining organizational management
2. Search for Organization units of the company
3. Identify the following information by navigating the structure
a. What is the root node of the organization
b. What is the Sale organization of the unit NKL
c. What is the Tuple (Distribution Channel / Division) assigned to
the unit E-Commerce
d. Name an inherited attribute and its value of the unit E-Commerce

Create a New Organizational Unit


1. Create a new unit under the existing E-Commerce unit to represent a customer
returns department
a. Give this the code ZC_91_CR and description Customer Returns
i. Ensure this unit is valid from the beginning of this year
b. Maintain the Address Subtype, copying these details from the superior object
c. Check the attributes of your new unit and ensure that this would be valid in
object determination

Create a New Position for your Organizational Unit


1. Create a position unit under the organizational unit you just defined
a. Give this the code ZC_91_CRMAN and description Returns Manager
b. Make this position valid from the beginning of this month
Create a Business Partner to Assign as the Holder
1. Start the transaction BP for maintaining business partners
2. Follow the instructions for creating and new Person given in the previous Business
Partner exercise
a. Make sure this is created in the grouping ZICM – Employee
b. Make sure the role BUP003 - Employee is maintained
3. Only the following information is mandatory

Person

First name <your first name>

Last name <your last name>

Address

Country NO

Time zone CET

Language NO

Assign the Business Partner as Holder of Returns Manager


1. Navigate back to the organizational management
2. Assign your business partner as the Owner of the position Returns Manager

Optional: Assign your User to the Business Partner


It is possible to assign users to the business partners assigned to a given position in the
organization management.

This allows the system to use the associated privileges (authorizations) of a given users
within the CRM applications.

For example, this can be used to ensure the right business role is given in the WebUI
