1- PRODUCTION LINES
A production line is factory configuration that features a series
of manufacturing steps. Ítems Flow from step-to-step moving
closer to becoming a finished producto, part or component with
each step.

• Batch production vs mass production

Production lines are used both in batch production and
mass production. Batch production involves moving a set
of times through each step together as a batch. For
example, a bakery may process 1200 donuts a step at a
time moving the donuts together from Workstation tp
Workstation. Afterwards, the production line may be
reconfigured for a batch of cookies.
Mass production exacutes every step in the manufacturing
process concurrently for example, if cars are produced in
a 28-step process the production line may have a single
cat at each step at all times.

5-QUALITY PROCESS
Process quality refers to the degree to
which an acceptable process, including
measurements and criteria for quality,
has been implemented and adhered to
in order to produce the artifacts. Software development requires a complex web of
sequential and parallel steps. As the scale of the project
increases, more steps must be included to manage the
complexity of the project. All processes consist of product
activities and overhead activities. Product activities result
in tangible progress toward the end product. Overhead
activities have an intangible impact on the end product,
and are required for the many planning, management, and
assessment tasks.
The objectives of measuring and assessing process quality are to:
