ABSTRACT
What is an Abstract?
https://libguides.usc.edu/writingguide/abstract
An abstract summarizes, usually in one paragraph of 300 words or less, the major aspects
of the entire paper in a prescribed sequence that includes: 1) the overall purpose of the
study and the research problem(s) you investigated; 2) the basic design of the study; 3)
major findings or trends found as a result of your analysis; and 4) a brief summary of your
interpretations and conclusions.
The abstract allows you to elaborate upon each major aspect of the paper and helps
readers decide whether they want to read the rest of the paper. Therefore, enough key
information [e.g., summary results, observations, trends, etc.] must be included to make the
abstract useful to someone who may want to examine your work.
WHAT TO DO?

For additional reference, you may surf the Internet and look for an example(s) of an abstract.
INTRODUCTION
BACKGROUND
How to write:
PURPOSE

Definition of Scope: The scope of the study refers to the boundaries within which your research project
will be performed; this is sometimes also called the scope of research. To define the scope of the study is
to define all aspects that will be considered in your research project. It is also just as important to make
clear what aspects will not be covered, i.e. what is outside of the scope of the study.

The report limits its coverage on (cite WHO and WHERE / WHAT
ORGANIZATION are the respondents of the administered survey questionnaire) * which (cite
WHY these are the only respondents involved in this report).
*How many respondents are involved in this report?
PROCEDURE / METHODOLOGY
Guide Questions:
(1) What is/are the methodology/ies used in collecting information and/or data for your
report?
(2) Why this/these methodology/ies is/are used in this report?
NOTES:
(1) Methods are the specific tools and procedures you use to collect and analyze data (for
example: surveys, interviews, experiments, observation).
(2) You may review the ppt and/or module (in EAPP).
(Cite the method and the reason why you used this method. Sample: Telephone
Survey - . . . )

DATA COLLECTION
This section presents the procedure on how data are collected through administering the
survey questionnaires. (See Annex 2)
How to write:
(1) Cite the step – by – step procedure on how you collected the data. This should be
connected to procedure/methodology.
(2) Use number formats in accomplishing this portion.
Through (what method did you use to collect the data?), the researchers collected the data by:
(1) deciding what particular method they will use to collect the data;
(2) discussing what type of survey questionnaire will we use through gmeet;
(3) (cite step-by-step procedure on how you collected the data);
(4) (cite step-by-step procedure on how you collected the data);
(5) (cite step-by-step procedure on how you collected the data);
(6) (cite step-by-step procedure on how you collected the data);
(7) (cite step-by-step procedure on how you collected the data);
(8) (cite step-by-step procedure on how you collected the data); and
(9) (cite step-by-step procedure on how you collected the data);
NOTE:
There is no specific number of steps. This depends on the actual procedure you did as a group to
collect data.
RESULTS
This section presents the analysis and interpretation of the collected data through (state
the method used in data collection).
I. MOTIVATION
Motivation refers to the act of giving employees reasons or incentives to work, to achieve
organizational objectives. The researchers administered the survey questionnaire to (specify
number of employees) employees (See Annex 2) of
_____________________________________________.
Guide Question:
As discussed in Module 4 (EAPP), use appropriate visualization to present the collected data. If
visualization is not appropriate to present the data, use the other techniques. (Please see Module
4: Gathering Information and Summarizing Findings on pages 5 – 7).
II. LEADERSHIP
Leading is a management function which involves influencing others to engage the work
behaviors necessary to reach organizational goals. The researchers administered the survey
questionnaire to (specify the name of the manager/s in the organization)
Guide Question:
What leadership skills are exuded by the manager of the organization to influence others in the
organization? My suggestion is write a multiple choice question presenting the leadership skills.
How to present the data:
As discussed in Module 4 (EAPP), use appropriate visualization to present the collected data. If
visualization is not appropriate to present the data, use the other techniques. (Please see Module
4: Gathering Information and Summarizing Findings on pages 5 – 7).
III. COMMUNICATION
Guide Questions:
As discussed in Module 4 (EAPP), use appropriate visualization to present the collected data. If
visualization is not appropriate to present the data, use the other techniques. (Please see Module
4: Gathering Information and Summarizing Findings on pages 5 – 7).
SUMMARY OF FINDINGS, CONCLUSIONS, AND
RECOMMENDATIONS
SUMMARY OF FINDINGS
CONCLUSION
What is a conclusion?
https://library.sacredheart.edu/c.php?g=29803&p=185935
The conclusion is intended to help the reader understand why your research should matter to them after they
have finished reading the paper. A conclusion is not merely a summary of your points or a re-statement of your
research problem but a synthesis of key points.
How to write:
Write a two – three paragraphs for this section. This ties together the findings in your analytical
report.
RECOMMENDATIONS
How to write:
The researchers have the following recommendations based on the findings in this
analytical report:
