MESSAGE FROM VICE CHANCELLOR

"Transport has always played a very important role in India. And as

our economy grows, we will see the sector develop, solving for
issues relating to congesting, the environment and exorbitant
infrastructure costs. Every aspect of transport will change, and this
requires a very specialized kind of institute. Gati Shakti
Vishwavidyalaya will expose and train its students to the latest
developments and research in the sector, and prepare them for a
rewarding career. The university will support and enable the PM
Gati shakti National Master Plan through producing a talented,
well trained and focused cadre for handling the complexities of the
transport sector.

Manoj Choudhary, PhD

Vice Chancellor
Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya
ABOUT GSV
Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya (formerly known as National Rail and
Transportation Institute) a new central university under the
Ministry of Railways (Govt. of India), is focused around the
transportation sector (including railways, highways, shipping,
aviation, ports, logistics etc. ) and will create talented Human
Resources pool and perform research across technology and
management, to enable the PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan
towards modernization of infrastructure and transportation
sectors.

Less than 100 students from the whole nation got an opportunity
to be part of the founding batch of the prestigious B.Tech
programme of GSV, which consists of two streams : B.Tech in Rail
Infrastructure Engineering (RIE) and B.Tech in Rail Systems and
Communication Engineering (RSCE).

The curriculum is designed to make the students skillful, industry

ready and inculcate a research oriented mindset in them, which
will be favorable for the organisations to help them grow. From
the first year itself, students get exposure to international level
studies as GSV collaborates with the world’s top and premium
universities to teach the different courses.

In the final year, students from both branches are offered courses
that were specifically taught to trainee IES officers of Indian
Railways in centralized training centers, which are highly specific,
critical, and high-level skills inducing, consequently making them
high-class engineers for railways and other transportation
domains. Many field visits during the course and internships at
the end of every academic year in reputed organisations are
providing huge support in enhancing the skills of the students in
a multidimensional way, which makes them capable of doing the
jobs smartly and efficiently, and consequently, their employability
grows exponentially..
