Dear Sir or Madam,

I appreciate this opportunity to introduce myself as Mykyta Petukhov, a

second year student of Simon Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics.
I am studying entrepreneurship, trade and stock exchange. Global Undergraduate
Exchange Program was presented to me on the lecture in the university. There
were many people, who sat there only for extra points. I was one of the students
that were really interested in this program.
Nowadays Ukraine is changing the direction of development and it is rough
times and crisis there. In my opinion, crisis it is not good time to wait for
something better or to escape from the country, it is time to use opportunity or
create your own. I think, as a young entrepreneur, in Ukraine I can find many
possibilities to start entrepreneur activity, because many segments of the market
are still underdeveloped. It means that with the help of innovation technologies,
creative decisions and faith in your own ability to change the world I can stimulate
the economy growth in Ukraine.
I think I am only at the start of my career but I have already done some
steps on the way to my goal – become successful entrepreneur and satisfy the
needs of the society. I am the resident of the business incubator «YEP» in Kharkiv.
There we gain practical skills about starting your business career: we create
business models, talk about our projects and help them to become a reality. I also
have idea how to make our society better. I want to create secure parking for
bicycles to attract people use their bicycles more frequent. I also work at my
communication skills. I like public speech and use every opportunity to talk with
big amount of people and I have some experience in this area.
Since I was young, I have been interesting in Economics. I want to be clever
investor in the future, so I have to learn how stock exchange works. I believe that
USA is perfect place for studying it, because it has the biggest stock market in the
world.
I speak English quite good. I know that English language is essential for
business communication and I really motivated to practice English with native
speakers. I attend speaking clubs in Kharkiv every week and can talk about nearly
everything. I would like to take part in Global Undergraduate Exchange Program,
because this is an excellent opportunity to improve my professional skills and to
gain a lot of experience. I want to know how people live in America and what their
culture is. Many great entrepreneurs were born in United States such as Bill Gates
and Mark Zuckerberg. I am a person who is eager to learn something new. I want
to be useful for world around and make people happier.

Of course, I am not supposed to do it alone, to become successful and make our

society better I need good, initiative team and reliable partners. I am Ukrainian and
I know lot of good people in Ukraine, lot of ideas about developing our motherland
but there is a problem. You can create an excellent business plan, calculate all the
risks that might happen in the future and create the best team in the world, but
when you start seeking for investment, you should know how to present your
information to investors. I want to participate in Global Undergraduate Exchange
Program, because I want to know how to persuade foreign investors to invest
resources in Ukraine even if it might seem too risky and dangerous for them. In
addition, I want to know how to create relationships with people and make
partnership in foreign country.
I know that English language is essential for business communication and I really
motivated to learn it. My English teacher always tell me that I have good
vocabulary level but I need more practice, especially with native speakers and
participation in Global Undergraduate Exchange Program is the best choice for me.
