This temporary revision updates the inner fan duct channel assemblies’ inspection instructions and adds new
table. Refer to Tables 602 and 605. Existing Table 605 has been changed to Table 606.

Inspect wire harness in T/R and afterbody for chafing, security of clamps,
and general condition.

Visually inspect T/R seals for security, cracking, pliability, and general
condition.
Check for AD compliance. Check to make sure that all applicable FAA
Airworthiness Directives are complied with and Log Book entries made.

Inspect wire harnesses in vicinity of selector valves for chafing or
interference with hydraulic lines.
Visually inspect for presence of a pad on each inner fan duct channel
assembly (See Figure 601). If all pads are present, proceed to the next item
of this inspection. If a pad is missing: remove the T/R assembly, remove the
inner fan duct, and install a new pad. Do the following additional inspection
only if a new pad is installed: inspect the other pads for surface wear and
looseness of pad around rivets. Surface wear that is even to the rivet head
is not allowed and the pad shall be replaced (See Figure 601). Loose pads
shall also be replaced.
Check throttle controls and reverse thrust levers for smooth operation
through full travel. Feel for any looseness and/or restrictions.
Inspect T/R Control Panel for security and condition. Make sure markings
are clear and readable.

Inspect yoke assembly for general condition, corrosion, cracks, and fatique.
Inspect T/R door pivot brackets for corrosion, cracks, and fatique.

Inspect T/R door link rods for corrosion, cracks, and fatique.
Visually inspect bushings at door link attachment points for excessive wear.
(Bushing are 0.063 thickness)
(Maximum allowable wear not to exdeed 0.032 thickness)
Inspect latches and latch plates for excessive wear as defined in 78-31-00,
Figure 601/602.

Inspect intumescent paint on forward bulkhead of afterbody for scratches,
abrasions, peeling, or flaking.
If maximum allowable wear limits have been reached, contact NORDAM Aftermarket Services at:
Remove pylon skin panels, inspect fasteners and attachments for general
condition and evidence of working.
Inspect primary actuators, throttle retard, and latch actuators for cracks,

Check that pylon plug fits properly and flush with pylon.

Inspect each pad found on the inner fan duct channel assemblies for
surface wear, looseness of pad around rivets, or missing pads. Surface
wear that is even to the rivet head is not allowed and the pad shall be
replaced (See Figure 601). Loose or missing pads shall also be replaced.
