A Reflection Essay on Dr.

Jose Rizal’s article, “Love of Country”

In Dr. Jose Rizal's article about love of country, he describes how the feeling of love and
devotion for one's motherland is a natural and universal sentiment that has been expressed in
various ways by people from different walks of life, cultures, and historical periods. In here, he
points out that even though this topic has been explored and celebrated countless times
before, it still remains a motivation and dominant subject that inspires people to express their
deepest feelings, ideas, and thoughts.

As I read through out this article, I couldn't help, but feel a sense of sentiments and
resonance with Rizal's inspiring words. Like him, I too feel a strong attachment and affection for
my country, despite encountering many challenges at the moment. His description of how

a person reminded me of my own experiences and the many things that I love and miss about
