2. If you were living at the time of Rizal and you saw your fellowmen being abused, degraded, injured
physically, psychologically, intellectually and spiritually, considered less human, how would you react and feel
to such a condition of life? Would you dare to say or write anything against the Spaniards despite the fact that it
means death? (10 points)

3. Rizal is the foremost national hero of the Philippines for three reasons: the great influence of his writings, the
qualities of his personality, and the honor given him before and after his death. But many people derogatorily
deny his being the foremost national hero of the Philippines.
Now, you received honors in your graduation because of your excellent work. But later on, some people
derided you by saying “Shame on you! Your honors were just the product of favoritism. You don’t deserve
them!” How would you feel and react to such derogatory remarks of some people? (10 points)

4. Rizal once said: “I cannot live seeing my brothers and their large families persecuted like criminals. I prefer
to face death and gladly give my life to free so many innocent persons from this unjust persecution.”
Suppose your family and relatives are being looked down, derided, sometimes physically and morally
injured, to be destroyed in the process, that is, the future of your family and relatives – how would you feel and
react to such situation? (10 points)
