➢ To gain an inspiring source of patriotism through the study of Rizal’s life, works,
and writings.

IV Answer the following questions:

59-68 Explain why Dr.Jose Rizal deserved to be the national hero of the Philippines?
(10pts.)
➢ A hero is a person who represents goodness. Rizal used goodness to give us
freedom. Jose Rizal became a national hero in the Philippines because he battled
for freedom in a quiet but effective manner. Rather than using force or aggression,
he communicated his love for the Philippines through his books, essays, and
articles.

69-78 How did studying the life works and writings of Jose Rizal influenced you in your
personal life as a student.
➢ We already know that Dr. Jose Rizal is one of our national heroes; yet, I believe
that understanding Dr. Jose Rizal's life and works as a student or as a Filipino
citizen is critical. And it's always necessary to reflect on the events and people
that shaped a country's current situation. And he is a man who deserves our
admiration for their moral support in our country.

As a student, I believe there is nothing wrong with making Rizal's Life and
Writings a mandatory subject in school, even if it does not yet exist, because
students should be familiar with RIzal's role in the Philippines' political,
economic, and educational development. This is especially true when it comes to
writings.

Based on the essay made by Ambeth Ocampo, I believe Recto was correct, since
if people removed Rizal's works from classrooms, they would be disrespecting the
memory of Dr. Jose Rizal, the Philippines' national hero. The novel NOLI ME
TANGER by Dr. Jose Rizal, since the objective of his novel is to motivate all
Filipinos to pursue their studies so that they might be brave enough to fight for
their freedom. Also, be proud of your Filipino heritage.

Good Luck and God bless you
