SCRIPT FOR

ATE LYNETTE'S STORY

( I am Lynette Villaver, I'm the eldest of nine siblings. A working student at Grove coffeeshop as a barista
and this is my story as a working student and how will I overcome those circumstances as a working
student in the time of pandemic.)

First Scene at Coffee shop

Audio Background: Recorded Orientation

Lynette: I'm so excited today because it is my first day for our online class and orientation I will listen
attentively I promise while I'm serving our costumers for today and I'm so thankful that I can still study
even though it is a online class set up.

(few minutes later)

Lynette: Hi, Goodmorning Mam what can I get for you?

Costumer 1: I'd like a medium mocha with 2% please.

Lynette: Sure Mam, what's your name?

Costumer 1: Farah, F. A R. A. H

Lynette: Great. That's 110 pesos mam, it will be ready in just a moment.

Costumer 1: Great, Thanks :)

( A few minutes later)

Lynette : (calls loudly) Ms. Farah, medium mocha with 2%. Enjoy your coffee mam.

Costumer 1: That's me! Thanks (picks up your coffee and sit)

Second Scene at School

Teacher: Today is the day I will discuss to you your project in my subject for your final requirement. You
are going to watch the movie and the link will be available in our gcr and you are to write a movie review
and present it in our class it is individual project so give your best and be creative as you present it you
can use any media platforms to present it.

Lynette: (worrying): How can I watch this I'm so tired from my work everytime I go home. What should i
do for sure it will consume more hours for me to do it.

Teacher: Goodbye class be creative and artistic. Fighting.

Classmate of Lynette : Hi ate. We are groupmates in our report on Wednesday and we will have a
meeting later since the day of our reporting is nearly approaching and we need to divide our part so that
we can study it early and our reporting style is recorded so need a lot of time to finish this report. Thank
you ate see you later for our meeting.

Lynette: Yeah sure, (worried) what will I do i need to go to the coffeeshop co'z my co worker needs also
to attend to her class. Whatever I really need to go to coffeeshop now probably my co worker is waiting
for me. I will run fastly so that I will go to the coffeeshop quickly. (Lynette runs fast as she could)

Third Scene: At Coffeeshop

Lynette co worker: Ate Lynette what takes you so long our class will start soon I need to go now, bye see
you later.

Lynette : Sorry ate for making you wait. Go now ate I can do it trust me.

Co worker: Change now your clothes and I will go.

Lynette : Yes ate.

Lynette: (while changing her clothes) I'm tired being a working student is tough and tiring at the same
time but I need to continue because I'm eldest among my nine siblings I need to finish my studies to
help my parents and my siblings.

Co worker: (knocks on the door) Lynette are you done? I need to go now

Lynette : Go now ate. I'm done.

(few hours past)

Fourth Scene at Lynette' bed

Lynette Sitting on her bed

Lynette: Finally I'm now in our house. I will finish my school activities left. I'm so tired physically and
mentally my body is tired from work and my mind is tired from studying from doing all those school
requirements just to comply and didn't get a failing grade honestly this learning set up drians me, my
energy, my enthusiasm while my online class is starting is gone plus I have ministries in church and in
need to do this weekly as my service to God.

Lynette: Rest now and don't quit, I may be tired now but I will not quit (while convincing herself) you
can't quit Lynette just fight for the economy. God is still good because He gave me a boss that is
understandable and she let me to attend class for 2 hours as my replace in my post in the coffeeshop.
Lynette: It's already 2 am im sleepy but I need to finish this recording for our report in Wednesday but
my eyes and head hurt but I will not stop me to not finish this.

Lynette: Because if i record during daytime my neighborhood is so noisy and loud they shout loudly as
they want and also the cock crows loudly so I can't do it in daytime and this is the perfect time to do this
recording thing while my neighborhood is sleeping.

Lynette : (while crying) I'm overwhelmed for the workloads and endless school activities, Lord please
give me strength to continue this journey. I can't do it alone but I know God is with me and with Him
nothing is impossible and I know God that you gave me this battle because you know that I can win this
battle and to testify your goodness to me as a working student.

Lynette: I will rest for now so that tomorrow when i wake up i have a new strength to fight again.

Narration: One day Lynette test her strength and her capability. She face circumstances to her work and
studies, she needs to go to the apartment of her friend to be able to present her report because it is the
only quiet place she has. Let's see how see face this circumstance.

Fifth scene ( Road to her friend)

Lynette: I need to run now as fast as I can because our group is the next reporters I'm so nervous I think
drank too much coffee my heart beats fast.

Sixth scene at Apartment of Lynette's friend

Lynette: Finally im here I run so fast like a holdaper or snatcher hehehe whooo just beat the time
(breaths deeply) Inhale whoo exhale whooo you can do it self.

(Few minutes later)

Lynette : (felt proud and tapping her shoulder) Well done girl! Thank God I presented my report well and
the internet connection is great we didn't lag while presenting our report. God is good all the time :)
even though I became breathless from running but finally it is done whooo one down more to go.

Narration: oftentimes Lynette goes to her Lolo's house to connect to their wifi but sometimes Internet
test our patience. Let's see how Lynette overcome this one of her circumstances as a working student in
a online class set up.

Seventh scene at House of Lynette' Grandfather

Lynette : Yess thank God their Internet connection is stable I can join easily in our class.

(Audio background teacher disscussing their lesson)

Few minutes past

Lynette : Omh their internet connection becames slowly I will become lag in our discussion :(
Eighth Scene At Coffee shop

Lynette : What a hectic day, we have so many costumers today huh, what time is it now, omg it's 2pm
already time ticks so fast I didn't notice the time and I haven't eat my lunch that's why my stomach
starts to ache and growl. Maybe I should take a 15 minutes break to eat my lunch and rest for a while,
while there is no new costumer come.

( Few hours past)

Lynette: I 'm so worried even though I past my school requirements they pile up quickly haysss, after my
duty I will go straight at home to finish my school requirements left so that I won't reach the deadline
before passing. I hope someday I can take a rest maybe a vacation to relax and enjoy my life.

And this is the life of a working student during pandemic it's tough and tiring and it consumes your
energy from work but at the same time im thankful because I can still study while I'm working and really
God is good because He gave this opportunity to finish my course and opportunity knocks once we must
grab it, take it or leave it we can decide what is our priority and my story ends here. Thank for watching
