Curso de inglés con orientación en programación
Centro Universitario de Idiomas (CUI)

A través de la Plataforma Online del CUI, realizarás el curso de manera asincrónica,


autogestionada y con supervisión de un tutor. Podrás acceder las veces que quieras y organizar
tus horarios de estudio según tus necesidades e intereses.

Los cursos se basan en el desarrollo de las 4 habilidades del aprendizaje: comprensión lectora y
auditiva y producción escrita y oral.

Previo a realizar una prueba de nivelación, podrás comenzar a cursar de acuerdo al nivel que
mejor se ajuste a tus conocimientos y necesidades.

Modalidad de cursada: virtual y asincrónica.

Horas cátedra: 80 hs.

Duración del curso: 3 meses.

Días y horarios: Acceso a la plataforma las 24 hs.

Evaluación: Al finalizar el curso deberán rendir un examen final integrador.

Nivel Principiante
Programa:

● Módulo A: Greetings and responses. Farewells and responses. Names and titles. Be
in introductions. Be in statements and questions. Do in introductions. Commands.
Negative commands. Subject Pronouns. Questions with this/that, these/ those.
Clarification questions. Singular and plural nouns. Telling time.
Negative statements. Adjectives with nouns.

● Módulo B: Ordinal numbers, days and dates. Description and possession with be
and have. Questions with what. Possession: have/has, nouns, adjectives. Possessive
form and whose. Which/Which one. Simple present Simple present: questions.
Active verbs and direct objects. Adverbs of frequency. Time expressions with in, on
and it. Questions about time. Numbers and prices. Count/non-count nouns. Some
and any.

● Módulo C: Present continuous. Present continuous and simple present. Short


answers: present continuous and simple present tense. Review of information
questions. Present continuous: present and future. Questions with how. There is and
there are. Future with going to. Future with going to and will. Prepositions for
locations.

Simple past: was and were. Simple past: regular and irregular verbs. Modal: can and
can’t. Modals Review of verb tenses.

● Módulo A: Statements and yes-no questions with be. Simple present tense:
statements and questions. Short answers to yes-no questions. Adjectives.
Describing people with be vs. have. Information questions. Count/non-count nouns
with how much and how many. Count/non-count nouns with some and any.
Quantifiers. Simple past: past tense of be. Simple past: regular verbs. Simple past:
irregular verbs. Modals. Giving instructions. Adverb of manner.

● Módulo B: Simple present and present continuous. Stative verbs. Asking for
clarification. Prepositions of locations. Directions and locations. Expressing
emotions. Future: will and be going to. Future: modals of possibility. Expressions
with make and do. Expressions with get. Phrasal verbs. Gerunds and infinitives.
Giving advice. Too and enough.
● Módulo C: Review of simple past tense. Past tense sequences. Review of adjectives.
Comparatives with than. Comparatives with as. Comparative words. Superlatives.

● Módulo A: Contrast: simple present and present continuous. Expressions for


suggesting: why don’t we, how about, let’s. Infinitives with too and enough: too hard
to do, easy enough to do. Present perfect for indefinite past. Modals of advice
(should, ought to). Future with will and be going to. Contrast: present perfect and
simple past. Modals of ability: can and be able to. Possessive pronouns: mine, yours,
his, hers, theirs. Tag questions. Adjectives and adverbs. Articles: a, an, the.

● Módulo B: Non-action verbs. Modals of request: can, could,will, would. So and such.
Gerunds as subjects and objects. Modals of possibility: may, might, could. Reflexive
pronouns: myself, yourself, himself, herself, themselves. Past continuous. Modals of
preference: prefer, would rather. Comparative adjectives. Used to. Embedded wh-
questions. Indefinite pronouns: someone, anyone, no one.

● Módulo C: Past continuous with when. Modals of permission: may, could, do you
mind if. Comparisons with as + adjec- tive + as. Inseparable phrasal verbs. Gerunds
and infinitives. Future time clauses. Infinitives of purpose: I went there to see him.
Modals of necessity: have got to, don’t have to, can’t, must (not). Participial

Verb + gerund or verb + infinitive. Present perfect and present perfect continuous.
Embedded wh- and yes-no questions. Participial adjectives. Modals of possibility
and probability. Reflexive and reciprocal pronouns. Modals of possibility and
probability in the past.

● Módulo B: Make, have, get, let, and help. So and neither. Future time clauses.
Compare: Simple past with when and past continuous with when. Reported
imperatives. Subject adjective clauses. Future conditional. Past perfect. Infinitives
after adjectives and nouns. Future in the past. Passive causative. Reported
statements.

● Módulo C: Wish. Past unreal conditional. Be supposed to. Present unreal


conditional. Past perfect continuous. Should have. Future continuous. Object
adjective clauses. Passive modals. Adjective clauses: review and expansion.
Auxiliary verbs for emphasis. Review of phrasal verbs.
