cannot be touched by humans. Gin's body bears a
curse bestowed by the God of the Mountain:

While spending time with her grandparents one

day during the summer, Hotaru gets lost in the
forest. According to legend, the area is inhabited by
yokais. With her difficulty finding a route back,
she started crying, attracting the notice of a
masked man. He volunteered his assistance to
Hotaru on the condition that she will not touch
him at all under the circumstances.

Hotaru and Gin spent every

summer vacation together since
that day, and they became
connected to each other,
forming a great bond. But,
ii feelings will begin to develop
stronger along this journey,
and their determination
will be tested even
though they're
aware of the risk.
