Rev. Dr. P.

Joseph Titus is a Catholic priest teaching the Hebrew Bible at St Peter’s


Pontifical Institute, Bengaluru. He holds a S.T.D. from the Catholic University of Paris,
France and a Ph.D. from the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium. He is presently the
President of St Peter’s Pontifical Institute, Bengaluru and the editor of Indian Theological
Studies. He is a regular contributor to different theological journals published from India and
abroad. He has published three books in English.
Rev. Dr. Antonysamy Madalaimuthu, a Catholic Priest of the Diocese of Dharmapuri,
Tamilnadu, at present, serves as the Director of the Propaedeutic Programme and Professor of
Sacred Scripture at Good Shepherd Major Seminary, Coimbatore, Tamilnadu. Apart from his
master’s in Economics, he holds a Licentiate in Sacred Scripture from the Pontifical Biblical
Institute, Rome and a Doctorate in Biblical Theology from St Peter’s Pontifical Institute,
Bengaluru. His recent publications include his Doctoral thesis (Elijah Cycle (1 Kings 17-19):
A Historical-Critical Study of its Compatibility in the Deuteronomistic Composition) and
several articles in various regional and national journals both in Tamil and English.
Rev. Dr. A. Alfred Joseph is a priest of the Diocese of Dharmapuri. Besides his bachelor’s
degrees in Chemistry, Philosophy and theology, he holds licentiate in Biblical Theology from
St. Peter’s Pontifical Institute, Bangalore and Doctorate from Rheinischen Friedrich-
Wilhelms – Universität, Bonn, Germany. At present he is a teaching staff at St. Peter’s
Pontifical Seminary, Bangalore, Head of the Department of Biblical Studies and secretary of
TPI (Theological Publications in India).

Rev. Dr. Mary Julit Mandumpala, cmc, a member of the Congregation of the Mother of
Carmel, belongs to Nirmala Province, Thrissur. She holds a Licentiate in Biblical Theology
from the Gregorian University, Rome and Doctorate in Theology from Institute
of Claretianum, aggregated to Lateran Pontifical University Rome. At present she is one of
the faculty members in Dharmaram Vidya Kshetram, Pontifical Athenaeum of Philosophy,
Theology and Canon Law, Bengaluru, India and visiting professor in various theological
Institutes.

Rev. Dr. Maria Arul Raja, sj, is a Jesuit priest. Staff and dean of Arulkadal, Jesuit Regional
Theology Centre, Chennai from 1993 onwards, he is presently Director of IDCR (Institute of
Dialogue with Cultures and Religions, Loyola College Campus, Chennai). With the
background of Scripture, Subaltern Studies, Feminism and the like, he contributes the
outcome of his continuous research in the seminars and journals at the international, national
and popular levels. He is a visiting professor to faculties in India and abroad.

Bishop Lawrence Pius Doraraj is the bishop of Dharmapuri Diocese since 2012. Earlier he
was the Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Madras- Mylapore. He has a double
Doctorate Ph.D. in Gandhian Thought. He has rendered his services at various levels:
Professor of Philosophy, Formators, Dean of the Department of Philosophy, Vice Rector,
(Sacred Heart Seminary, Poonamallee). He served as Chairman of various Commissions at
the Regional Bishops’ Council and at National Bishops’ Conference.
Dr. A. Pushparajan was Professor and Head in Madurai Kamaraj University. After his
retirement from formal services in 2004, he is residing in Bengaluru, giving guest lecturers in
several theological Institutes and Formation Houses. Holder of Ph. D in Philosophy, with
three Masters in Gandhian Studies, Philosophy and History, he still engaged in active
research. He has published over 350 articles, presented over 450 papers and published 34
books.
