ARS-200, state of the art resistivity measuring system, features programmable RCL meter, pneumatic atmospheric
core holder and 4 electrode measuring system. Resistivity determinations are usually made in conjunction with
porous plate capillary pressure measurements to enable the calculation of Formation Factor and Resistivity Index
values along with the cementation, "m", and saturation, "n" exponents. The ARS-300 features a pneumatic
atmospheric core holder that allows a consistent loading to be applied to the sample eliminating operator error
from the measurements. In addition silver mesh electrodes are used to allow a consistent contact to be made
between sample and electrode. A panel mounted Rw cell is included for accurate measurement of brine resistivity
and temperature.
Scope of Supply:
Digital Resistivity Meter is a precision RCL meter, which incorporates a LCD display capable of displaying a graphical
representation of the electrical circuit under test using standard international electrical symbols.
The unit has the capability to make 4 electrode measurements at 3 different test voltages (300 mV, 1 V and 2 V)
and frequencies from 50 Hz to 100 KHz. In addition RS-232 and IEEE-488 interfaces can be specified to allow
computerized data acquisition. 1 Assembly used with Hydrostatic Coreholder, Hydrostatic 4-Probe Resistivity and
pneumatic hand pump core holder
Portable Probe Permeameter, PPP-250
Portable Probe Permeameter provides a precise method for rapidly determining gas permeability in field locations
and at the lab.
Data is determined by the unsteady state method, pressure decay is measured as a function of time allowing for
the computation of Kgas. The system is provided in a rugged suitcase housing for the probe permeameter with the
PC and probe in a second module which is designed to be carried to the field in, and operated from, a standard
backpack. The instrument includes a gas reservoir that allows measurements to be made independent from a gas
source.
A 24-volt power pack supplies electricity for the instrument. Field measurements are made in the field by pressing
the probe tip against the rock surface. Initial flow pressure of 35 psi, declines as gas flows into the rock surface, the
decay versus time is recorded and the permeability calculated from the pressure decay curve.
Data can be measured from outcrops, whole cores and slabbed cores as well as other types of samples. Data are
available in tabular and digital form.
Scope of Supply:
Portable Probe Permeameter in transportable case weight: 15 pounds (approximately)
Portable Computer and Probe, 8 pounds (approximately)
Windows based operating software
Rechargeable Lithium Ion Battery
Drilling Press Diamond Tool can be supplied with 1", 30 mm or 1.5" ID diamond bits. The specifically designed Teflon swivel and tapered chuck
permits diamond drilling of various sizes of core samples up to 2” in diameter using water, brines, mineral oils or gases including liquid nitrogen
as a cooling fluid. Diamond core-cutter drill bits are easily exchanged for different sizes and rotation speed is manually controlled and the actual
speed displayed via a digital read-out.
In order to provide the correct information and parts such information such as the type of material to be encountered (e.g. Unconsolidated
material), sample size requested (e.g. 1", 30 mm or 1.5" I.D.) and voltage requirements should be supplied.
Options:
Submersible pump placed in the stainless steel catch basin for the re-circulation of coolant fluids
Alternate Swivel compatible with Liquid Nitrogen
Dust extraction system for liquid nitrogen, air or dry cutting of plug samples; includes shrouds, flexible ducts and wet dry vacuum system
One (1) meter sample tray complete with sample mounts for up to one (1) meter of core
API Recommended Practice 40 for Core Analysis, Section 3 Core Screening and Core Preservation
