● Introduction

It all began when one four-eyed Kevin Brian Midas was travelling with his classmates on a
camping trip. Together with his close friend Josh, they travel to a camping location at the foot of
a mountain known as The Divine Watch. Soon after, Hal and Bertram, the school bully and his
dim-witted follower, became interested in bullying the four-eyed Kevin Midas.

Thankfully Josh followed Kevin to help him escape the two bullies. While Hal put Kevin in a
Nelson Josh tried saving him, but he was easily overpowered by Beltram. Fortunately, while
Kevin was being made fun of Josh made a plan of stealing Beltram music that they are playing
in a boombox while bullying to distract Beltram and Hal to destroying his mixtape in exchange
for Kevin. Beltram gave up on Kevin, but they are still bigger than Kevin and Josh, so Beltram
instead got angrier. Beltram leaves the two of them claiming his victory is now completed, while
Josh is helping Kevin who's saying “he's gonna pay for this “.

● Summary

Kevin (Four-Eyes) Brian Midas's tale began as he was camping with his classmates at the foot of
the Divine Watch Mountain. Kevin was soon bullied by Beltram and Hal at school, but Josh,
Kevin's most trustworthy buddy, stood up for him. However, Kevin was fed pinecones by Beltram
until he was on the verge of choking. Kevin bows and promises to get back to Beltram someday
after leaving with a big smile on his face, proclaiming victory that day.

The tale of Mr. Kirkpatrick telling his teacher that the Mountain is full of mystery left by the
Native Americans gave Kevin the notion to climb The Divine Watch at night when they returned
back.

As they begin their journey to the middle of the night hiking The Divine Watch their flashlights
get duller, all they have left is the moonlight and the imagination that they are not only one on
the mountain. After a while, they noticed a smell like rotting fruit. They noticed Beltram and Hal
following them, giving them a burst of energy to climb the mountain faster. When Kevin got to
the summit and noticed a pair of sunglasses and he put it on and suddenly saw far places
without his graded glasses after that he quickly lost balance and fell onto Josh, who toppled
Hal, and crashed on Beltram.

The next day, they were fishing on a river. Kevin, with his sunglasses on, talked about Beltram
jumping on the river twice. Kevin got skeptical that he has powers when he puts on the
sunglasses, he said to josh but he didn't believe it until Kevin proved it to him by making food
out of thin air.
After that, they went home, and Kevin and Josh abused the power of the glasses to their liking
until Kevin got Headaches from wearing it. Soon after, Josh noticed how bad news the
sunglasses are if it was abused. Worried, he tried to warn Kevin, but he just shrugged it off.

Soon the power of the glasses got uncontrollably powerful and got stuck on Kevin's head while
not wishing anything all he thinks got suddenly comes true like making Beltram go to hell and
wishing his family away, Josh tried to help him, but he thinks it's best to leave him to die with
the power of the sunglasses killing many people.

Upon realizing Kevin thought of giving back the sunglasses on the mountain he sprinted on the
mountain as fast as he could and when he put it back suddenly the time went back when he
first climbed the mountain.

● Analysis and Evaluation

A child's goal is to have the ability to make any wish, thus for me, The Eyes of Kid Midas is one
of those tales that brings back childhood memories. It's a book with a nice moral that I think
everyone should read, and since I've read and seen a lot of movies with plots similar to this
book's, I can probably predict what will happen with ease.

● Conclusion and Recommendations

For my conclusion, I think this kind of book will benefit younger kids because it pokes the
imagination on having the world as yours and having the responsibility to do so. I learned many
things from reading this book. One of those is that abusing the power that is not yours can be
very unforgiving and brutal if you're not careful.
