Q.1. Q.1. Statically Indeterminate System

Hint 1:
Select a proper primary structure q[kN/m]
consisting of simple frames for much
simpler internal force diagrams.
Hint 2:
Q[kN] D E F
Do not forget that you can select an
internal force as a redundant force in
the case of indeterminacy caused by H[m]
support reactions (external forces).

Draw the internal force diagrams (M,N,T diagrams) for the

indeterminate frame systems given above for
a. given external loading case,
b. for a temperature change, t  850C ,
c. for 2cm settlement at B support and 1cm in C settlement at the same
time,
d. all cases mentioned above at once.
For the magnitudes of point and distributed load and dimensions, please
use your student number, a chart and functions are given below.

Homework must be prepared by using
a computer. Submissions must be in a
printed format. The cover page sample   105 m / mC
can be found in O’learn page of the
course. F  0.15m2
Do not cheat! Group work can be used
to discuss the problem, in O’learn F '  0.125m2
Discussion Board for instance, not to
prepare the homework. In case of I  0.0045m4
cheating, the grade will be 0.
Late submissions will not be accepted.
