2.

Detective, a new case has just come

through.

DETECTIVE

He doesn't turn around, he keeps looking at the papers in

front of him.

(shocked)
Another one? (pause) This is the sixth
murder this week. What's his name?

He puts his hand behind him and grabs the piece of paper from
her.

LOVER
Howard Easton-Rodgers. He was found
dead in the church a few miles away.
Its so sad he was only 25. (pause)

He turns around. She places his photo onto a board filled

with lots of other unsolved cases.

DETECTIVE
I'm not familiar with the name. I
think we need to get more information
on him. Let go to his house later to
see if we can find anything.

LOVER
Sounds good!

She blows him a kiss

See you later!

FADE OUT

3.

Mrs Rodgers, could you please tell us

about your husband.

MRS RODGERS
(visibly upset)
He was such a good man, I really loved
him, who could have done this?

DETECTIVE
We're not sure that's why we need to
get as much information out of you as
possible about his whereabouts over
the last few days.

MRS RODGERS
I'm not even going to lie, he hasn't
been around much recently. He keeps
coming back late and leaving so early
before I'm up.

DETECTIVE
(intrigued)
Where do you think he was?

MRS RODGERS
Every time I asked him, we would
argue. He just said he was needed at
work, so I just assumed he was there.
But deep down, I knew something was
off.

BEGINNING OF FLASHBACK:

INT. VICTIMS HOUSE - DAY

Howard and his wife are arguing in the living the room,
shouting at each other. Then he storms out.

END FLASHBACK

DETECTIVE
Hmm...How weird. Let me ask at his
work and see if they know anything.

4.

MRS RODGERS
(relieved)
Thank you so much!

LOVER
We will keep you updated. Thank you
for your time.

They both walk out and close the door.

4. INT/EXT. VICTIMS HOUSE CONT.

They stay standing outside the door facing each other.

DETECTIVE
(whispering)
Listen, I don't think this man was at
work at all. We need to find out where
he really was.

She stays silent and gives a slight nod.

They both walk away

FADE TO BLACK

5. INT. DETECTIVE OFFICE - EVENING

The detective is sat at his desk flicking through his papers.

FADE IN

DETECTIVE
Looking here, I'm thinking that Howard
was meeting someone, possibly a woman.
That's the only thing I could see him
doing.

LOVER
Oh really, how you going to find out?

DETECTIVE
I'm not sure, I feel like we could ask
people if they've seen him with
another woman.

LOVER
I'm on it.

5.

She goes to leave.

DETECTIVE
Oh and another thing I was thinking,
Look here.

He points to the board with other cases on it.

DETECTIVE
All these men were killed recently,
look what they all have in common.
(pause) They were all married. Do you
think it was her?

LOVER
It could possibly be.

DETECTIVE
I think we need to go speak to Mrs
Rodgers again.

FADE OUT

6. INT. VICTIMS HOUSE - DAY

FADE IN

DETECTIVE
So, Mrs Rodgers, can you tell us where
you were of the night March 21st.

MRS RODGERS
I came back from work and was at home
making tea. Thats all.

DETECTIVE
Did you leave the house at anytime?

MRS RODGERS
No, It's way too cold to go out.

DETECTIVE
Hmm.. okay. I'm stumped. Let me go to
the office and think about this.

7. INT. DETECTIVE OFFICE - EVENING

FADE IN

Detective is pacing around the room while his lover is sat on

the chair.

LOVER
Okay so, Mrs Rodgers is definitely our
number 1 suspect but she we have no
real evidence to prove it.

DETECTIVE
I think this is going to take a while,
nothing is making sense

She walks out the room, he sits down and faces his board.

DETECTIVE
(annoyed)
They're must be something we're
missing, either Mrs Rodgers is telling
the truth or maybe it was something to
do with the other woman. (pause) Maybe
this other woman knew that Mr Rodgers
couldn't lie to his wife anymore and
to shut him up she decided to kill
him. (pause) That would make so much
sense.

He is intensely looking at the board, then pins Mr Rodgers

photo up on it.

DETECTIVE
(excited, suprised)
OMG, It's all connected! These men
were all married and somehow they were
all seen to be cheating. Obviously
their wives were seen as the number
one suspects, out of anger and spite.
But what if maybe they could've all
been cheating with that same woman and
she killed one after another, till she
found the next man.

Lover is shocked and can't comprehend what is being said.

LOVER
(angry)

7.

No surely not. It is the wife always,

we know it is.

He disregards her and carry on speaking

DETECTIVE
NO, I KNOW THIS IS THE ANSWER, WE JUST
HAVE TO FIND THE ONE WOMAN BEFORE SHE
KILLS HER NEXT VICTIM!

He turns back around and is flicking through the papers. The

lover slowly walking towards him. Has a knife in her hand
brings it up high.

LOVER
(evil?/demonised)
If only you had focused on the wife.

Now Sir, the truth has has cost you

your life.

She goes to stab him in his back.
