FACTS:

● FIVE-ALARM FIRE (Highest level alarm)

● HAPPENED NOW
● 2096 GRAND CONCOURSE, BRONX - CONCOURSE FOOD PLAZA SUPERMARKET
● FIRE BROKE OUT AT 10:30A
● 200 FIREFIGHTERS RESPONDED TO THE SCENE
● THE FIRE SPREAD TO THE LAUNDROMAT NEXT DOOR
● FIVE FIREFIGHTERS WERE INJURED
● ONE EMS MEMBER WAS INJURED
● ONE CON-EDISON WORKER WAS INJURED
● POLICE SAY NONE OF THE INJURIES ARE LIFE THREATENING
● CAUSE OF THE FIRE WAS A LITHIUM ION BATTERY IN AN ELECTRIC BIKE
● THEY DO NOT KNOW WHAT CAUSED IT TO CATCH FIRE
● THESE BIKES HAVE CAUSED MULTIPLE FIRES ACROSS NYC OVER THE LAST FEW MONTHS
