Audio System Service Procedures


Delco/Delphi
This service information covers the Delco/Delphi Radio Replacement Service
Procedure. For further information on the Audio system refer to Group 3.

Radio, Replacement
You must read and understand the precautions and
guidelines in Service Information, group 30, "General
Safety Practices" before performing this procedure.
If you are not properly trained and certified in this
procedure, ask your supervisor for training before
you perform it.

Removal
1
Make certain the vehicle ignition is OFF before beginning
this procedure.

Insert the radio removal tool(s) into the release holes on
the radio face until the tool(s) lock in place. With the tools
inserted, pull on the tools to slide the radio out of the dash.

Disconnect the antenna and the electrical connector.

Installation
1
Make certain the vehicle ignition is OFF before beginning
this procedure.

Connect the radio electrical connector and the antenna.

Slide the radio into the housing.

Check operation of the radio. Also check the CD changer
and the amplifier if installed.
