What are the properties of magnetic field lines?

The magnetic field lines have the following properties:

• They are closed and continuous curves. 1

• They are directed from the North Pole towards the South Pole of the 1

magnet.

• They never intersect with each other. 1

• They are concentrated near the poles of the magnet where the magnetic 1

field is strong and are separated near the middle of the magnet and far from the
magnet where the magnetic field is weak.
