The Interrogation Room

Location : A small, claustrophobia-inducing room with a table and two or three chairs

Personalities : As in any crime drama, there will be cops and suspects. Some of the
suspects may be guilty, some may be innocent.

Good cop: Ilham

Bad cop: Shuen

Guilty person: Amni

Unguilty person: Badrul

Shuen: State your name for the record. And for the record, you should speak to me honestly
about the incident that happens on the evening of 27 September 2020. We’re looking into
this case, as you know, so I don’t want to waste any time. If you did the fault better admit it
right now.

Badrul: Yes madam, my name is Muhamad Badrul Syahmi and I am innocent. I didn't hit
people’s car. Please believe in me. I didn’t do anything which violates the law.

Ilham: Calm down first, Shuen. We cannot force the suspects to admit the fault. Well. Let me
start by asking you what were you doing on the evening of September 27.

Badrul: September 27?

Ilham: Yeah. What were you doing at that time?

Badrul: I think I was at my house which is 25 km away from here.

Ilham: Okay. So based on your words, you stated that you were in your house then is there
any evidence that can prove it or is there anyone that can be your witness.

Badrul: I swear I was just at my house the whole time. I don’t think I went anywhere except
for my house that evening.

Shuen: Fine. Let us continue with the second suspect. State your name.

Amni: Amni Syazwani.

Shuen: Good. All right now talk about where were you going and what were you doing on the
evening of September 27.

Amni: I was working in the office at that time. I…I...did not go anywhere that time because I
am busy with my works. And you guys didn’t find any evidence which shows that I did
anything which violates the law.

Ilham: Don’t be so nervous. We had found some shreds of evidence. (at the same time show
the number plate of both of the suspected car.) In this picture, we notice that there were two
cars which have the car plate number of ABC 123 and ABC 132 were be suspected. We
found these clues from CCTV and also from some of the passers-by. It is clearly shown in
our’s investigation that you, Badrul as the owner of the Myvi car with the car plate ABC 123
caused this case to happen.

Badrul: No. I don’t think that would. I don’t think so. I confirmed that I am in my house at that
particular time. But, wait a minute. Are you all sure with the information about the suspected
car plate number? There was a high possibility that you guys made some mistakes when
surveying. I am sure that I didn’t do anything which violates the law.

Shuen: Yes, we can make sure that the evidence that we get is true. From the evidence, we
knew that there was a Myvi car in maroon colour simply make a U-turn at the place where is
illegal on 27 September. This caused the rider of the motorcycle to hit the Myvi car
accidentally and the rider was injured. The Myvi car drove away after this accident
happened.

Ilham: Everything was recorded in the CCTV and the security guard and passengers also
can be the witness. We had found that the rider and also the passenger are in the hospital
now.

Shuen: So with all of the evidence you still don’t want to admit your fault?

Badrul: I am sorry, I won’t admit to this because I didn’t hit anyone with my car. Why should I
admit to things I didn’t do.

Then, Shuen goes outside of the room. After 5 minutes, she comes back with a file.

Shuen: Madam, I have gotten the latest information about the car plate number.
