The Department of Education (DepEd) participates in the 30th National Children's Month
(NCM) celebration this November 2022 with the national theme, "Kalusugan, Kaisipan, at
Kapakanan ng Bawat ng Bata Ating Tutukan." The celebration will center on the children's
mental health and well-being. According to the World, health is a complete state of
physical, mental, and social well-being, not simply the absence of disease or infirmity.
Mental health, in particular, is an integral and necessary component of health, whereas
wellbeing frames health as a positive aspiration.
We, at Lucban Elementary School, actively participate in various activities advocating the
rights and welfare of our students in the new normal as part of our cooperation and
support for the celebration. We strictly adhere to health protocols in our NCM activities and
ensure that no child is left behind, regardless of gender, family background, ability, or
personality. In school, all children have the same rights and protection.
Activities Undertaken:
Play improves the
cognitive,
physical, social,
and emotional
well-being of
children and
young people.
Through play,
children learn
about the world
and themselves.
They also learn
skills they need
for study, work
and relationships
such as:
confidence.
Every day, students are given 30 minutes to /listen stories that help them relax or
relieve stress.
They are given the opportunity to showcase their talents during the flag ceremony.
Encouraging children to demonstrate their talents increased our students' self-esteem while also
raising their aspirations. Broad experience also increases awareness and commitment to their
incredible work.
Pupils enjoyed the celebration because they participated in various activities at school with their
classmates and schoolmates. They freely exercised their rights and responsibilities. It also helped
everyone in realizing their role and perform their rights and responsibilities while having fun.
Teachers, parents, and stakeholders are their partners in pursuing and achieving their goals in life
goals.
We are encouraging more stakeholders to participate, support and contribute for further
progress and development of various programs and activities pertaining to children's rights.
