Postgraduate courses (MSc and PhD) - Taught and

self-taught programme?

Taught courses - fairly defined curriculum and perhaps

specialisation (energy, health, etc.)?

Full-time, part-time studies - only in terms of the taught

part (but we have the recordings so students do not
need to be present)

Training courses:
- How to conduct research, types of research
- How to prepare scientific posters and presentations
(conferences, teaching, etc.)
- How to prepare scientific papers, reports, etc.
- How to teach in small and large groups

Regular events/practicals:
- group projects (to learn how to work in groups - share
knowledge, do not enforce, accommodate)
- regular presentations and poster sessions (in a private
and public forum)
- public engagement activities

Students, as part of their degree, are asked to present

their research to the private students in the form of a
poster and/or a presentation. This can be organised as
one at a time and be incorporated into private/public
teachings or be in the form of a “Research Retreat”
event where all students gather together and present in
one day (groups divided based on discipline or maturity
of research).
Some notes:

Brazil wants the teaching curriculum by the end of this year to then start training/
teaching their teachers from March till September 2019 and then from September
their teachers teach under KF teachers’ (local) supervision.
