Background: IISc Bangalore is identified by MeitY as the Resource Centre (RC) for the "Capacity building for human resource development in
Drone and related Technology" project by MeitY. As part of the project activities, one of the first key knowledge dissemination initiatives under
the Drone Applications Work Theme (WT) is being taken up with active collaboration across participating institutions of the project.
Course Contents: - “Do Drone” syllabus - •Overview of Multirotor UAVs - Regulations of DCGA- General overview of multirotor UAVs -
Basic principles of flight-Introduction to fixed-wing UAVs- Introduction to Multirotor UAV-Weather and metrology-Drone components body,
motors, propellers-Payload types-Flight simulation- model identification and control.• Subsystems• Formulation of sizing and development - A
simple approach to the sizing of a multirotor UAV is then presented to the students to show the operation of individual parts• Hands-on
experience, Building UAV - Component identification- Subcomponent identification and understanding- System architecture-propeller, motor,
flight controller integration-Communication and remote-control system• Flight testing - Flight tests and evaluation to prove and validate the
configuration of multirotor design and fabrication.
Eligibility: - Students pursuing BE/ ME/MTech, Engg graduates (Any Stream), working professionals,
Course Fee: -Rs 3000/- (for students with valid ID), and Rs.5000/- for other participants, (Working lunch will be provided)
Kindly Note: Accommodation will NOT be provided to participants
Timings: - Morning Session: - 10.00 AM to 1.00 PM – Lunch Break: - 1.00 PM to 2.00 PM – Afternoon Session: - 2.00 PM to 5.00 PM.
