Group 1 - If I were given 3 wishes…

If I have three wishes, I would ask to use one of the wishes to meet my family again. Today will
be the last day for me to breathe on this Earth. My family must have been very upset with me
because I was involved in the crime of a serial murder. "Creak" I could hear the door of my cell
open and there were two guards who would escort me to the gallows. As I walked, I could not
see even one member of my family present in the last moments of my life. I did not blame their
actions since I already gave them a hard time especially my mother, Lauren.As the time goes
by, I felt really nervous in facing my death. I try to make myself calm and relaxed by capturing
some of the sweet moments I had spent with my family . While I was daydreaming, I did not
realize that there was no one around me. Out of a sudden, I fell on a stone out of nowhere. I
started searching for the guards that were escorting me just now . I started to feel dizzy and that
is the last thing I could remember before I blacked out.

"Bam" I woke up and turned back to reality. My head felt so heavy and I couldn't even
remember anything that made me collapse. Out of nowhere , I saw a humongous fairy
godmother standing up in front of me with a sympathetic and merciful look." You are a good
boy,I've known you for many years. How could you be involved in this, son?
I stood speechless with my mouth open. This was my first time seeing a fairy in my life as I used
to not believe in any mystical beings.I was stuttered. She said again, I can see your heart of
gold, Adam. I would grant you 3 only wishes for you for the first and the last time in your life.
I said to her that I really wish to see my family and relatives. Suddenly, the surroundings
changed. I wasn't in prison anymore. I was really shocked to see that I was in a place that I am
familiar with, which was my home!

At first I was on cloud nine to be able to see my family after a while. Unfortunately, they were
sad and not as happy as they used to be. Mom was busy folding the clothes while my siblings
were staring at the sky.The situation was pretty dull and sad. I started to blame myself. Soon, I
stepped into the house and called their names one by one but no one noticed me there.Mom did
not pay attention to me and she even mentioned my name many times as she said "have you
taken your meal son? Oh dear I miss you so much Adam" . I was shocked and surprised.How
could she not see me ? I sat in front of her and said "I'm her mother". Mom still dont look at me.
I cried. The fairy appeared and asked me why I was crying as she had granted my first wish.
Not long after that, she reminded me that I still have 2 wishes remaining to be used. I stopped
for a while and have a little thought in my mind to see my family live happily. I didn't want them
to keep suffering from my mistakes.
I wailed in agony. "Oh, fairy godmother, why are they like that? Isn't there any possible way to
bring them back to me?" She replied in her soft voice, " As a fairy, I am the slave to the master
of the wishes and am not in a fit position to advice on how to choose your wishes. But Adam, all
I can say is, the biggest blessing in life is to forgive and to forget. I will always be here. Just say
your wish and snap in a blink of an eye ,it'll be there." "Dear dairy, I wish my family is living their
happiest life right now." And with that, she left in a puff of pink smoke and glitters all around.
The surroundings changed. My family started to cheer by now! All the sad and depressing
moments just disappeared . Mom was preparing the meal for dinner with a big smile on her
face. My siblings were playing around happily. Dad was singing in the living room happily. I felt
delighted enough to see they were having a whale of a time together. But slightly, that moment
of happiness suddenly turned into a nostalgic feeling. I missed being around them so much. I
regretted myself for involving myself in a murder. I was stressed and at that moment, the fairy
decided to come to look after me.

Without any hesitation, I asked her "Oh Fairy, I do have my last wish right? Can you grant this
wonderful wish? " She nodded when I asked her.I spluttered my last wish, " I just want to be free
from my suspension and I just want to enjoy the rest of my life with my family " Then, she
snapped her finger causing the surroundings to change. Mom rushed towards me and hugged
me. Her action was then followed by the others.They seemed to forget about my mistake. I
cried a bit but they were happy tears. I just couldn't believe what I've just experienced. "Dinner's
ready guys," Mom shouted back from the kitchen.It was the most memorable moment in my life.
It was just like coming back to life after death. My family and I have lived happily ever after ever
since the incident happened. I am so thankful to God and I made a promise to be a good man
for everyone.
