Introduction

Quality is not only conceived as a tool, but as a culture and

a work technique that guides the way of thinking and acting

of an organization, based on a high commitment in its

direction and with an orientation towards products and

services. that produce.

Ensuring the quality and safety of products is directly linked

to the success of the company. The need to satisfy

customer requirements leads companies to carry out

measures that contribute to developing levels of efficiency,

such as the implementation of quality control in their

products.

Control charts are among the most effective management

control tools and are just as important as cost controls and

material controls. Modern computer technology has made it

easy to implement control charts in any type of process, as

data collection and analysis can be performed on a PC or

local area network terminal in real time.

Definition and importance of quality control in

production processes.

We can define the "Quality Control" of a company as the detailed

monitoring of each and every one of the processes that occur within a

company. The objective of this control is to improve the quality of a specific

product or service. For this, it is essential to implement specific programs,

mechanisms or tools in a company to improve it as well as productivity

itself. Nowadays, with companies located in a context of maximum

competitiveness, it is essential to defend periodic and exhaustive quality

controls in order to achieve a ten product, valued by customers and that

help us achieve a good brand image. In addition, this fact contributes to

retain our public and increase profits. Quality is not only conceived as a

tool, but as a culture and a work technique that guides the way of thinking

and acting of an organization, based on a high commitment in its direction

and with an orientation towards products and services. that produce.

Ensuring the quality and safety of products is directly linked to the success

of the company. The need to satisfy customer requirements leads

companies to carry out measures that contribute to developing levels of

efficiency, such as the implementation of quality control in their products.

Quality control is the regulatory process through which actual quality can

be measured, compared to standards or specifications, and the difference

acted upon.
Quality control is important since, due to the activities carried out at each

stage of the production process, we are guaranteeing a product that meets

the needs of the final consumer and those of the company itself.
Quality control planning are activities aimed at establishing:

The variables to control at each stage of the production process or to

submit to research for improvement.

Measurement frequencies.
Sampling points.
Sampling systems.
Test methodology.
Control limits.

These activities are developed in conjunction with the production area and

are reflected in the inspection plan.

Importance of quality control charts

Control charts are diagrams used to examine whether a process is in a stable

condition, or to ensure that it remains in that condition.

In statistics, a process is said to be stable (or in control) when the only causes of

variation present are random ones.

In this condition, inferences can be made regarding the output of the process,

that is, the quality characteristic that is being measured. On the other hand, the

presence of special or assignable causes makes the process unstable,

preventing the prediction of its future behavior.

Control charts are used to:

Determine the control status of a process

Diagnose the behavior of a process over time
Indicates whether a process has improved or worsened
It allows to identify the two sources of variation of a process
Serves as a troubleshooting tool

paretto

It allows you to focus on the aspects whose improvement will have the most

impact, thus optimizing your efforts.

Provides a quick and easy view of the relative importance of issues.
It helps prevent some causes from getting worse while trying to solve other less

significant ones.
His graphical view of the analysis is easy to understand and encourages the

team to continue improving.

Utilities
Determine what is the key cause of a problem, separating them from others

present, but less important.

Decide what the objective of the improvement actions will be, optimizing the

efficiency of the efforts carried out for it.

Contrast the effectiveness of the improvements obtained, comparing successive

diagrams obtained at different times.

It can be used both to investigate effects and analyze causes.
Easily communicate to other members of the organization the conclusions about

causes, effects and cost of errors.

Flowchart

This tool graphically shows the steps and sequence of the processes, as well as

the possible ramifications found in the process. They also show the activities,

descriptions, and sequence order of the process.

Process Flow Diagrams are useful for understanding the process and

estimating the quality cost of a process.

There is no standard methodology or format for building a process flow

diagram, each organization defines the level of detail of its process flow

diagrams.

Control Charts

It is a graph that represents the different values of a characteristic

corresponding to a process. Its function is to provide information to determine

if a process is stable. Control charts also help us to know the trend of the

process characteristic over time, compared to control limits (calculated with

real data from the same process) that will serve to make decisions related to

the process.
The control chart is made up of a center line that represents the average of the

data and two control limits, lower and upper. Where the process data is

expected to be reflected around the center line.

There are different types of control charts, both for continuous and attribute

values, it will be necessary to know or determine the type of data and scope

that we require in order to determine the type of control chart to use.

Ishikawa
The Ishikawa diagram gets its name from its structure like the skeleton of a fish. This is

no coincidence: each element represents a reason and leads to the resolution of the

problems exposed. The elements of the fish diagram are:

1. head
It emerges from the central spine and in this part the problems are represented.
2. Thorns
Projections of the central spine. There may be many or few thorns, depending on the

possible causes that are causing the problem in question.

3. Minor spines
Large spines also include smaller spines, with which minor causes are determined.

The Ishikawa diagram is useful to achieve different goals such as analyzing, solving or

being faster and more efficient in general. It can also be used for:
Improve decision making
Contribute to a better work environment
Make a work process suitable for obtaining certifications
Identify areas that require staff training
Motivate your employees
Measure various areas and their operational performance
Know where to invest
Take advantage of areas of opportunity

Conclusion

It is important to emphasize how a Quality Control in a company helps to

determine if something should be modified in the production process, such as

equipment adjustments, staff training, modification of the raw material used...

That is, it will not only help to identify those mistakes we talked about earlier

but it will also help improve our product. Therefore, quality control is a

fundamental task that must be carried out by properly trained professionals

and will play a key role in the success of a company. Quality is and will always

be the best cover letter.
