My favorite movie character is Elizabeth from Pride and Prejudice, she is the second of five

daughters in the bennet family. Her parents were interested in marrying them off to a well-to-do
man. One day Elizabeth's mother heard that a very rich young man named Mr. Bingley was coming
to Netherfield. She enthusiastically told her father to introduce himself before him so that his
daughters would get to know him and perhaps one of them would become his wife. The girls had a
bad habit of listening at the door, so before their mother told them, they had already heard the
good news. The bennet sisters' father said to her mother he had already been introduced to him.
Then several questions came up from the girls like is he nice? is he handsome? Will he go to
tomorrow's ball? The father replied that he would happily give his consent for any of his daughters
to marry him and he would be present at the dance and soon the ball came. There was music and
dancing and everyone was enjoying themselves, at which point Elizabeth made a comment to Jane
her older sister: if there is a man who will not fall in love with you tonight, I am not a judge of
beauty. Or men, replied jane. No, those are easy to judge, all the ones I know have no grace at all,
said Elizabeth. One of these days a man will like you and you will have to watch what you say,
answered Jane.

The party continued and suddenly stopped, everyone watched carefully. Mr. Bingley had arrived
along with his sister and his best friend Mr. Darcy, who was twice as rich. A man introduced them
and they soon followed the celebration. Mrs. Bennet wasted no time and soon introduce her
daughters to Mr. Bingley and Mr. Darcy. Bingley was absent-minded and shy but that didn’t stop
him from dancing with Jane all night. Elizabeth, seeing them, asked Mr. Darcy if he danced, but he
replied that not if he could avoid it. Disappointed Elizabeth went to talk to her friend Charlotte and
then overheard a conversation between Mr. Darcy and Mr. Bingley. The latter told him that Jane
was beautiful and Elizabeth nice to which Darcy replied that Jane was the only pretty girl in the
place, while Elizabeth was tolerable enough but not beautiful enough to tempt him. The comment
had affected Lizzie so Charlotte made her feel good and said that if she liked him she would have
to talk to him. The dance continued but Darcy and Bingley’s sister Caroline were only observing.

Mrs. Bennet was very imprudent so she did not hesitate to go back to Mr. Bingley. Lizzie
accompanied her mother to prevent her from talking too much. Bingley, seeing Elizabeth, told her
that her friend Charlotte was very nice, but Mrs. Bennet answered that it was too bad she was not
so pretty and that his daughter was considered the beauty of the region, when she was 15 a boy
fell in love with her with such a passion that she though he would make her a proposal but he had
only written her very nice verses. Elizabeth stopped her mother and asked who had discovered the
poetry to keep love away. Mr. Darcy said that he thought that poetry nourished love. Elizabeth
replied a solid love maybe but if it's a vague inclination a bad sonnet won't do. And what would
you recommend to foster affection, Darcy responded. Dancing, said lizzie, even when the partner
is barely tolerable and then she retired. After the dance Jane and Elizabeth talked, Jane confessed
that she liked Bingley while Lizzie said she would only marry if she had a truly deep love. Then
came a letter to Jane from Caroline Bingley inviting her to Netherfield. As the journey was very
long Elizabeth suggested that she take the carriage but the Bennet’s mother had decided that it
would be better to send her on horseback. Jane started her route but it started to rain so by the
time she arrived she had caught a cold. Because of this, lizzie went to take care of her. There she
also met Mr. Darcy and Caroline Bingley with whom she found herself at odds on various issues of
social class and how women should be. Then Mrs. Bennet and her daughters Kitty, Lidia and Mery
visited Netherfield. The girls were fascinated with the place, the mother again made an
inappropriate comment about Mr. William Lucas. The girls were fascinated with the place, the
mother again made an off-hand comment about Mr. William Lucas while Kitty asked Mr. Bingley to
organize a dance and invite military men. Bingley then said he would do so. Later, the mother and
Bennet sisters withdrew from Netherfield.
