• Registration for API standards / specifications requires

that requirements are clear for auditing.
• The following area’s OF API STD 16AR requires work
to make the document ready for auditing:
– Section 5.1: The section is not clear for what is needed for
registration. Propose to add:
NOTE Certification to API program for registration of API 16AR service
provision, requires full conformance to API Q1.
– Annex F and Annex L: List normative contents of the
certificate. This includes that QR codes must link to asset
data. The layout of the certs can be an example.
– Table 4cirtical dimensions: Need better verbiage to clarify the
difference between new tolerances and what are wear limits.

16AR equipment must
provide the link to the
“Asset Data”.
• Asset data can include the
MDB and PHF documents,
including certification.
• The QR code provides easy
access with handheld
devices,
• Full traceability and
transparency any time
anywhere.
