Fueling Futures in Philippine Education

This webinar was very informative, it ignites my passion to do more


and excel in this field. Indeed, the change from in-school to online was quick
and unexpected that it has brought extraordinary challenge and changes to
us. More than the students, we teachers had to train ourselves as well to
adapt to the new methods and strategies in teaching and there is no denying
that Technology plays big role for education during this pandemic. As a
teacher, we must think that for every challenge that we may face, is the
opportunity to become more than we’ve been before. Afterall, progress is
impossible without change.

Learning to flourish mindset is what really imprinted on my mind in


this webinar. As teacher we need to be open to new learning. With this ever-
changing global environment, it really requires us to be adaptive, innovative,
and resilient. Always seek to continuously improving yourself and believe in
your capacities and capabilities. We need to expand our horizons of what we
can do to provide solutions, responses and to think ways on how to continue
learning for our students because whatever happen learning must continue.

The Covid-19 crisis presents an opportunity for the education sector to


come together, forge connections and share what works. We may have not
seen this before the crisis, but this did not change who we are or our
purpose as a teacher; we just had to embrace a change in the landscape
while still maintaining our purpose. What I saw as an educator in these past
months has been remarkable and made me proud to be in this profession. It
reminded me why I entered teaching. I saw educators’ band together and
work even harder to be who they are in the classroom, but online. I saw
educators collaborate more than ever and be more innovative than ever.
Educators not only had a purpose, but that purpose drove them to be open
to new ideas and new ways of teaching that they may not have embraced
before this pandemic. I saw educators step up, with grace and empathy, to
teach fellow educators how to use technology more effectively. We, teachers
across the nation are continuously stepping up to be the teachers that
students, parents and society need us to be.
