Over 3 Million Filipinos nationwide received their
primary doses and booster shots under the
Bayanihan Bakunahan 3
● Under the third Bayanihan
Bakunahan drive, 3,055,035 jabs
were administered to our general
population, 664,462 of which
were first doses, 1,234,840 were
second doses, and 187,575 were
single-shot doses.

● Meanwhile, a total of 968,158

booster shots were administered.
Pregnant women highly encouraged to
get vaccinated against COVID-19
to prevent the risk of stillbirths
In a British Medical Journal published
last month, around 5,000 pregnant
women with COVID-19 were found with
severe complications such as critical
care admission, stillbirths, and early
neonatal deaths.

These were more common among those

unvaccinated pregnant women
compared to those who were
vaccinated

vaccinated with Janssen may be boosted after 2 months

Key Messages
● Resbakuna Kids and Bayanihan Bakunahan 3 have greatly helped in the country’s
shift to low risk case classification. The DOH continues to monitor our hospital
utilization rates to ensure cases in all regions are under control.
● More than 329,000 children aged 5-11 have been vaccinated against COVID-19. We
are expecting more parents to register their children in the coming days as they
realize how COVID-19 vaccines help keep their children safe and protected
against the virus.
● As of February 17, we have vaccinated 3 Million Filipinos nationwide - both for primary
doses and booster shots. Although Bayanihan Bakunahan 3 ends today, the
Department will continue its efforts to provide access to vaccines to all
communities in the country.
● Getting a booster shot is important as new COVID-19 variants contribute to our
waning immunity. Vaccine efficacy after a booster dose shows significant impact on
preventing severe diseases and hospitalizations. It also provides 25x more
protection against the OMICRON variant.
