THE YOGA OF ARYA TARA

Nine purification breathings

OM E HO SHUDDHE SHUDDHE

In the space in front of us we imagine the presence of Guru Arya Tara as the essence that unifies all the
objects of refuge:

NAMO GURUBHYA
NAMO DEVABHYA
NAMO DAKINIBHYA

With this mantra, together with the mudra, we invite Guru Arya Tara and ask her to remain.

OM GURU ARYATĀRA
SAPĀRIVARA VAJRA SAMAYA JĀ
PADMA KĀMALAYE STAM

Then we recite the invocation:

OM JÉZUNMA PÀGMA DRÓLMA

KYEDLA DÙDDO ZEVAS GYON
 Tara, I show my devotion to you! Protect us from all our sufferings and the problems of samsara with
your compassion!

OM LAMA GUNDÙS PÀGMA DRÓLMA

KYEDLA DÙDDO ZEVAS GYON
Tara, unification of all teachers! Protect us from all our sufferings and the problems of samsara with your
compassion!

OM YIDAM GUNDÙS PÀGMA DRÓLMA

KYEDLA DÙDDO ZEVAS GYON
Tara, unification of all manifestations of Tantric deities! Protect us from all our sufferings and the
problems of samsara with your compassion!

OM KÀDRÒ GUNDÙS PÀGMA DRÓLMA

Tara, unification of all dakini manifestations! Protect us from all our sufferings and the problems of
samsara with your compassion!

OM QOSGYON GUNDÙS PÀGMA DRÓLMA

Tara, unification of all protectors of the Dharma, all the wisdom guardians or dharmapalas! Protect us
from all our sufferings and the problems of samsara with your compassion!

OM NORLHA GUNDÙS PÀGMA DRÓLMA

KYEDLA DÙDDO ZEVAS GYON
Tara, unification of all deities who are related with secondary kinds of siddhis! Protect us from all our
sufferings and the problems of samsara with your compassion!

OM GYABNÁS GUNDÙS PÀGMA DRÓLMA

KYEDLA DÙDDO ZEVAS GYON
Tara, unification of all to whom we pray, who are objects of refuge and who bring salvation! Protect us
from all our sufferings and the problems of samsara with your compassion!

Imagining that we are receiving the lights of the three Vajras continually in order to receive wisdom. We
imagine that these lights purify all our obstacles and all our negative karma.
While doing the visualization we properly activate Tara’s wisdom with the mantra:

OM TĀRE TUTTĀRE TURE SVĀHĀ

After that, we have this short invocation:

JÉZUN PÀGMA DRÓLMA KYED KYÈNNO

JÌG DAN DÚGNAL GUNLAS GYABDU SOL
Tara, you know me! Please save me from all suffering and fears.
 We visualize that we are receiving infinite lights from Tara, we receive wisdom, which increases our
clarity and these lights eliminate all our obstacles and negativities.
We should feel that we are communicating directly with her while doing the visualization and reciting
the essential mantra:

TĀRE

Now we enter into the Higher Tantric system of transformation, where Tara becomes the path.
We communicate by sounding the essential seed-syllable, while in the same moment Guru Arya Tara
dissolves into light and is absorbed into us, we instantly manifest as Green Arya Tara. Upon a moon disk
at our heart is the seed syllable TĀM, green, possessing its own sound:

While visualizing that five-colored lights expand from it and then reabsorb in the TĀM, we chant the
quintessential mantra:

OM TĀRE TĀM SVĀHĀ

We also chant this mantra:

OM TĀRE TUTTĀRE TURE SVĀHĀ

And also, the essential mantra of White Arya Tara:

OM TĀRE TUTTĀRE TURE MAMA AYUR PUNYE JÑĀNA

PUSHTIM KURU SVĀHĀ

Then, we recite this invocation that comes from the sutras:

QÌMED CEYI BALLA LONJYOD JIN

Enjoying the glory of immortal life,
 RIGBAI LÓ DĀN NÁMJYOD XESRAB DĀN
May intelligence, discriminating wisdom,
SÌD DAN XIBAU BALJYÒR GĀN LAGBA
And whatever riches exist in samsara and nirvana
DE GUN LHUNGYIS DRUBBAI DRAXIS XOG
Be spontaneously obtained. May all be auspicious!

We sing the Song of Vajra in a state of integration:
