Marketing after COVID

As we know, covid-19 was a worldwide pandemic with thousands of consequences

for human beings, from deaths, shortages of food products, economic devaluation,
etc. Few people wonder what happened to marketing, how this health pandemic
could affect the way marketing worked, and we would be surprised at the incredible
change it caused. Consumers expectations of brands have increased and brands
have to adapt to respond optimally to their new demands. A clear example could
be that because we had to stay at home, we spent hours and hours on pages like
Amazon or some other online shopping sites. Everyone ordered packages online
to avoid leaving the comfort of their home, making that now the main market was to
attract people on the internet with a different marketing and a different section.

The specialized magazine Harvard Business Review has written and explained 10
trends that analyzed how marketing works and how it develops after the covid
pandemic and how companies, businesses, etc., should adapt their system since
marketing was one of the most affected by being in quarantine and how everything
has to evolve to adapt to what now exists.

These are the following:

1.-Marketing begins with knowing the customer segments.
Brands compete with the best experience that customers have had.
3.-Customers expect to get exactly what they want.
4.-Courting the customer as if it were an online appointment.
5.-The customer is the center of the customer journey.
6.-Relationships are everything.
7.-Agility as a focus.
8.-Behind the brands there must be great values.
9.-Search for balance with technology.
10.-Marketing is important for all departments in the company.
for now we conclude that the rules of marketing did change, implementing digital
marketing and as now customers are more demanding in what they ask for, for
example; (a fast parcel delivery, more communication with the seller, more product
information since there is more competition among others).
