Vinedrill

Vinedrill is an uncommon green and white plant element slug with pinkish eyes that is mainly
found in Wild Spores Cavern which are similar to Neotox Slugs except for the colour schemes.
Vinedrill is a plant Slug and it's power type is plant power, vine, and spore attack. In the slugisode
Vinedrill, it shows that Vinedrill is a very defensive slug.

Some famous Vinedrills are Tangles, who belongs to Eli Shane.

A ghouled Vinedrill is called a Briardrill.

The Forgesmelter is an extremely rare fire element slug that can shoot lava from its mouth. It's
the only Slug that can melt Smolten. One can be seen in Boss Ember's arsenal.

Preferred Habitat
They're found inside volcanoes and deep in mine shafts. In the Inheritance, the Shane Gang
traveled to the deepest regions of the Magma Caverns, the Forgesmelter Chamber.

Appearance
In Protoform, they have block heads with blue bumps on top. It has a rust-red body with a
sandy-blue head, and on their back they have four glowing lava craters. They can melt metal off
an object without damaging the contents. Eli Shane used a forgesmelter Slug in the episode
Inheritance to melt smolten off of Will Shane's chest.

Description
There's one species that stands out from all the others, ultra rare Infurnus Slugs. Infurnus are
ultimate fire-based weapons and master slug strategists. They're the generals to a slinger's
slugs. Extremely loyal, faithful and cleverer than your average slug, Infurnus have slug moves
most people have never even seen before!

Powers
The ultimate fire-based weapons, Infurnus are Phoenix-like slugs that flash burn and create
firestorms, but when they've gained enough experience they can megamorph and unleash
powerful, molten firestorms that reach melting temperatures.

Appearance
An Infurnus slug's appearance stands up to the name. They are dark orange in colour with
yellow and tan colour markings. They have a small flame patterned belly which is coloured
tan. They also have two antennae at the top of their heads, with yellow tips on them. Infurnus
slugs have small two tipped flame on top of their heads, going down which is coloured yellow.
In its protoform it looks like a flaringo, the only difference is the colour scheme. When it hits
100 mph, it takes on the characteristics of a phoenix dragon hybrid. When it transforms, it's
tail and wings are on fire. In one image, Burpy's wings are turned into fists.

● It seems that Infurnuses can control their heat, as Eli Shane rode one without
experiencing any pain, despite the Infurnus's wings were still burning.
● Infurnus is the first slug species to be seen as a Megamorph.
● In "A Distant Shore" Gar states that "Only one person has such a specimen!"
○ This, of course, was before Ghoul from Beyond, where Joo-Joo made
his first appearance. But this is also due to the residents of The 99
Caverns being unaware of the existence of other caverns and as such
they have never witnessed another Infurnus in Slugterra other than
Burpy.
● If an Infurnus sneezes, it sometimes farts Fire
● There is only one Infurnus for every "set of Caverns" wielded by the
protector/champion of the "Caverns". Eli protects the 99 Caverns and Junjie
protects the Eastern Caverns.

Errors

● An Infurnus can be seen beside the Boon Doc in "The Slugout" when Billy is trying
to use a Flaringo slug. This is most likely an error, as Billy doesn't own an Infurnus.

Cutural References

● Phoenixes appear to be a huge inspiration for Infurnus, not only in appearance but
also in background; (in classical mythology) Phoenix are unique birds that live for
five or six centuries in the Arabian desert, after this time burning itself on a funeral
pyre and rising from the ashes with renewed youth to live through another cycle.
○ This might explain how the life cycles and rarity of Infurnuses also
work.

Analysis
Jellyish slugs are much less powerful than other slugs, but they can be very useful defensively
and sometimes offensively. Their Loogi move, when used on slugs, can stop them dead in their
tracks, and because they don't need to hit a slug to do this, a Jellyish can attack the opponent
after stopping a slug. A Loogi move is also a near guaranteed success when slingers want to
stop another slinger from attacking them. Besides that, its usage is pretty limited.

Trivia
● This slug does not need a torpedo shell to be shot underwater.
● Jellyish were first seen in "The World Beneath Our Feet Part 1" when Kord shot a
Jellyish at Eli during Eli's first duel.
● The Fire Elemental is one of the only natural forces that can melt this slug's slime.

Bubbaleones are Uncommon water element slugs found mainly in rocky streams and freshwater
rivers. A famous Bubbaleone is Suds. In its protoform it is similar to a Lavalynx. When they hit
100 mph, it turns into a large bubble-like version of itself. They can also blow bubbles in
protoform, as seen in "The Gentleman and the Thief."

A Bubbaleone can be useful against a gattler. The slug's skin is unbreakable and perfect for
fighting mimics or explosive slugs. Bubbaleones can also be used as a form of transport, both
through the air and underwater.

A famous Bubbaleone is Suds, who belongs to Eli Shane.

A ghouled Bubbaleone is called a Bubbalash.

Analysis
Bubbaleones are rarely seen in combat, often seen as a weak, largely useless Slug, despite
having a solid set of defensive moves. In "The Journey Home" Eli used Suds as a stall tactic,
even though Bubbaleones can do a lot more than simply make it hard for an opponent to stay on
his feet.
Bubballo and Tentajet both work to remove opponent Slugs from combat, taking them out of the
fight and, in the case Slugs or Ghouls using explosive moves, limits the damage. In fact, the
inside of a Bubbaleone is remarkably tough, able to take a direct, contained explosion and still
maintain its velocimorph.

Bubblebound works to reflect attacks away from the Bubbaleone's Slinger and, with any luck,
back at the opponent Slinger. While this move may not have the same area coverage as an
Arachnet's Webwall attack, it's still a solid move, often overlooked in the world of SlugTerra.

Finally, Bubbaleones are useful outside of battle for more than just a convenient source of soap.
Using their light bodies, a Bubbaleone is capable of carrying a Slinger, even big ones like Kord.
This makes for a convenient, highly portable hot air balloon, allowing access to areas that would
be difficult to reach. In addition, Bubballo lets a Bubbaleone swallow their own Slinger. Since
Slugs can breath underwater, this can turn the Bubbaleone into a semi-submersible or, with
enough weight, a temporary submarine.

Analysis
The Blastipede is a one-man artillery gun. It is a purely strategic slug, but if something needs to
be blown up, this is the slug to do it. Its use is to drop mines or bombs over a battlefield or target;
usually a large building or an enemy base would be the target. If it can deploy its mines
successfully, the slinger now has the target in the palm of his hand. At any point, the entire facility
can be destroyed.

Past this one (very impressive) use, the Blastipede is minimally useful. It has no direct offensive
capabilities, and directly defensive it is limited to making a minefield, which the much more
common Hop Rock can also do.

Trivia
● The blue dots at the back of a Blastipede slug are tiny mines as shown in "Rookie
In: Somebody's Watching Me", when Rookie takes a tiny mine from his back and
throws it into a cupcake for Trixie.

Tazerlings are blue Electricity element Slugs with antennae shaped like lightning bolts. They use
electrical attacks. When overused, they have a tendency to backfire and electrocute their own
slinger by sending out a jolt of electricity while still in their slug tube. However, Eli's frequent use
of Joules suggests that this weakness can be overcome with training.

Its preferred habitat is Tusker Forks Cavern, the Cavern of Time and dry prairies and deserts
with lots of storm activity. These common Slugs are empowered with the element of electricity.
They are useful Slugs and can pair with rare types of slugs like the Infurnus. It's said that if you're
having a bad day, you should rub the top of a Tazerling's head.

A famous Tazerling is Joules, who belongs to Eli Shane.

A ghouled Tazerling is called an Amperling.

Appearance
Tazerlings are small blue Slugs, with yellow highlights on them. Tazerlings have a strangely
shaped pattern on their stomachs which are a lighter blue. On top of that, they have seed-like
shapes of yellow. Like all Slugs, Tazerlings have short, stubby arms. They have big brown eyes,
with yellow lightning bolts above them in an eyebrow scheme. They have what seems to be three
teeth, two big teeth on the sides on the top, and a big tooth under and can fit in between the
other two teeth.

In their megamorph protoform, Tazerlings sport a white streak-like pattern on their backs. In their
megamorph velocimorph, they get lightning claws.

Show
Eli wins his Tazerling, Joules, in a dueling competition from Shockwire. Eli later trades him for
supplies. He feels guilty for his decision and tries to get it back. As it turns out, Joules is traded to
Dr. Blakk. When Eli tries to get him back, Blakk tries to blackmail Eli with Joules but is shocked
by him, allowing Eli to escape.
Attacks
● Protoform Abilities - Makes a small jolt of electricity.
● Tazerbolt - Slug is surrounded by a ball of electrical arcs; gives a proximity zap.
● Tazercoil - Latches on to opponent and shocks them repeatedly on impact.

Analysis
The Tazerling is a highly effective and powerful combat slug, and one that is enormously useful
to the strategic slinger.

Assuming that most of its fantastic attacks can only be used with lots of experience, it still has
access to a basic hard hitting attack with electrical effect that is nonlethal. With more experience,
it gains the ability to harm other slingers' blasters, making it a good slug to start an ambush with.
This ability also makes it good for jobs where cameras and the like need to be out of the picture.

Eventually, it gains a more ranged attack letting it take on most close combat slugs like the
Armashelt or Rammstone without ever being close enough to be hurt. After that, it gains a solid
defensive ability, although this is a move restricted to slugs used very often.

Its final move, Quetzalbolt, makes it one of the strongest offensive slugs in Slugterra, with the
power to hit multiple enemies and direct its lightning.

Its weaknesses include the fact that none of its attacks are physically destructive, meaning that
shields put up by some slugs (ie. Geoshard) would be difficult for it to get around. Also, the fact
that it can backfire and shock you is a risk and means no slinger should rely on it more than a
few times in a duel. Possible slugs to beat it would include Geoshards for defense, other
Tazerlings, Arachnets, and other ranged slugs with more experience.

Analysis
While one of the most useful Slugs to use underwater, the AquaBeek's moveset is otherwise
fairly limited. With half its moves being used solely underwater, the AquaBeek only has two
moves to fall back on for duels outside its home environment. While those two moves are at
least not the same kind of move, granting it a direct attack and a multi-target move, it will be quite
easy for an opponent Slinger to outmaneuver an AquaBeek on land.

A Thugglet slug is a rose red coloured Uncommon Psychic Slug with small horns, a mohawk,
and mask patterns over the eyes. They have illusionary abilities that only affect living things as
seen in The New Kid Part 1 and The New Kid Part 2. When they transform, horns grow, their
body turns skinny and they grow large teeth.

A famous Thugglet (actually a Smugglet) is Loki, who belongs to Twist.

Another famous Thugglet is Beau, who belongs to Swick.

A ghouled Thugglet is called a Smugglet.

Threshers are blue Metal element Slugs. It is the favourite Slug of Sergent Slug, the owner of
Club Slug. When they transform after hitting 100 MPH, they gain characteristics of both a tiger
and a shark. The thresher slug is named after the Thresher shark famous for its bony tail.

● A famous Thresher is Buzzsaw, who belongs to Eli Shane.

● Another famous Thresher is Butch, who belongs to Sergent Slug.
● A ghouled Thresher is called a Thrasher.

A Megamorph Thresher is first seen in an official art in Slugterra: Return of the Elementals, while
its official appearance is first seen in the Slugisode Trick or Cheat! and Slugterra: Into the
Shadows.

Doc is an especially powerful healer slug that's introduced in "The Slugout", and later close
friend of hero, Eli Shane.

Description
There's one healer slug who stands out from all the others, and that's Eli's slug DOC, the
legendary Energy Elemental slug. Doc was once part of Billy's arsenal until, Billy not knowing
Doc's true value, rejected him and was rescued by Eli. He's Eli's faithful companion, an ultimate
healing weapon and eager to prove himself. Extremely powerful and more ancient than your
average slug, Doc's got slug moves most people have never even seen before!

● Protoform Abilities - Minor but powerful healing powers, like a warm compress,
topical ointment or localized antidote.
● Medici - Hits a slug or person with a very powerful healing ball of light, while
increasing the slug energy in the area. Significantly powers up normal beings while
curing internally ill ones, while significantly weakening corrupted beings.
● Healswarm - Emits a powerful light glow that can heal a ghouled slug.

Possible Moves

● Skinsplint - Spins a protective cocoon of light around an injured or broken area to

heal it.
● Lightshield - Small sparks form a protective wall or bubble like a force field to
protect against toxins.
● Slugmage - Casts protective shell of light over a slinger's slug arsenal to prevent
ghouling.
● Healadin - Swarm of sparks forms a suit of protective light armor. The slinger
becomes impervious to ghouls.

Fusions

● Medest (unofficial name): "Doc" + "Charger" - Forms a massive healing ball of light
that reverses the effects of a Vamparo.

Please note: These are moves that the Ghoul Energy Elemental "has" but this does not confirm
that a Ghouled form actually exists or will appear in the show as it has never appeared and might
or might not exist in theory.

● Darkleach aka "Medusi" or "Leachfang" - Hits a slug or person with a very

powerful poison attack, while draining the slug energy in an area. Severely
weakens normal beings, while significantly powering up corrupted beings or
regenerating weak ones.

Major Events
1. Billy rejects Doc, so Eli takes him in. (The Slugout)
2. Doc cures a Ghoul Slug, thus revealing he's a Healer and can cure ghouls, thus
saving the day. (The Slugout)
 3. Doc neutralizes Dark Water with the help of some Fandango slugs and saves
Bullseye Cavern. (Shadows and Light)
4. Doc cures ghouled Mecha-Beasts. (Mecha Mutiny)
5. Doc cures a Cryptogrif, a ghouled Hypnogrif, freeing the people in Caverna Mall
Cavern from Mr. Saturday's control.
6. Doc liberates all the ghouls in one of Blakk's Ghoul Depots. (The New Kid Part 1)
7. Doc heals weakened Guardian Slugs and is rewarded with Guardian status
however it results in him leaving the Shane Gang. (What Lies Beneath)
8. Doc returns to the Shane Gang and helps heals the ghouled slugs in Blakk's
stronghold, thus putting an end to Blakk and his master plan. (Light as Day)
9. Doc cures Burpy and several slugs, but gets sucked up into the Slug Tunnels
during battle, but he's saved by Burpy and then helps save Eli and the day. (Ghoul

10. Doc is revealed to be the one and only Energy Elemental Slug and becomes a
target of the evil alliance bent on destroying SlugTerra, but Doc manages to cure
Will Shane and the rest of The Elementals, and temporarily weakens The Goon and
later helps to undo the damage caused to the The 99 Caverns. (Return of the
Elementals)
11. Doc does a fusion for the first time (with Charger) to cure Master Lian. (The Return
of the Eastern Champion)

When the Slyren reaches 100 MPH, it starts singing within a few seconds of its transformation.
Those who are within its range fall asleep. It can also sing while in protoform, as seen in
"Snowdance" that a nest of the Slugs keep the Ice Ogres hibernating. Eli used the one that he
caught to put all the Ogres back to sleep. Pronto used Eli's Slyren to save Danna Por from The
Gentleman's Geoshard. It is a very powerful slug, as it can break the crystal of a Geoshard and
put the Ice Ogres to sleep, and can easily put someone to sleep.

A famous Slyren is Dozer, who belongs to Eli Shane.

A ghouled version of Slyren has not yet been seen in the show.

Appearance
When transformed, the Slyren has the ears of a bat, frog-like arms, and a fishtail. It has a
yellow-coloured belly but it's mostly coloured blue. Its tail and mohawk are coloured turquoise.

● Whistleer - Flies rings around opponent, create a sustained, ear-splitting scream.
 ● Sleepytime - Strange trilling call puts opponent to sleep.
● Blammerang - High-speed sonic boom blast.
● HyperSonic - Creates a high pitched frequency that causes temporary deafness in
an opponent.

Analysis
Whistleer can stun an opponent with its screams, distracting the opponent and giving the slinger
the upper hand if he/she acts fast enough. Sleepytime allows the slinger to make a quick
getaway without harming the opponent. This move is also very useful against Ice Ogres, Ghoul
Slugs and other large group of animals like a swarm of Bees. Blammerang helps the slinger to
attack his/her opponent from afar. HyperSonic is similar to Whistleer but causes more damage.
This attack is possibly the one that can shatter Geoshard's crystal.

● The Slyren is a play on "Siren". The Sirens are female sea monsters that originate
from Greek mythology. The Sirens would sing and lure sailors to dangerous waters,
which would lead to their deaths. Sirens are also a type of swamp dwelling legless
amphibian.
● A Slyren can be seen among Twist's Slugs after revealing his alliance with Blakk.
● Only other Slugs are immune to their singing.
● A Slyren is the only Slug that can break a Geoshard's crystals.
● A Slyren's voice can affect Ghoul Slugs.
● One was seen being ghouled in "Dark as Night". Neither its Ghouled protoform or
its velocimorph has been seen in the show, though.
● It is shown that only their singing can return Ice Ogres back to hibernation.
