ABSTRACT

The inability of a person to see objects close clearly can occur


for several kinds of reasons, including because of presbyopia.
Presbyopia sufferers with hypermetropic refraction status will not
only experience vision problems, but will also experience distant
vision problems. The simplest basic concept for tackling the visual
impairment it experiences is to provide glasses as a visual aid.
Homever, the size of the lens must be in accordance with the degree
of refractive error and the age of the patient.

The purpose of this study was to determine how to examine


subjective
refractioninpatientswithpresbyopiawithhypermetropiastatus.This
know ledge is very important tounder stand because it is through
subjective refraction checks that the size of the glass is determined so
that it can be used as a tool and to determine the size of the glasses
for near and far vision.

This research was conducted using descriptive methods


through case study selection. The population in this study is the
activity of subjective refraction checks recorded froma span of 01
April – 31 May in Optik Limpung Batang. The sample in this study
was one of the chosen people with consideration of communicative
cukuo sufferer sand the case was considered to bequite
representative. Datawere collected through interviews with patients
regarding visual complaints experienced.
