Analog VLSI Design Lab

This analog VLSI design lab was established for M.Tech VLSI and embedded systems students. It is equipped with Mentor Graphics backend tools for circuit modeling and layout design. Students use the lab to design basic analog IC blocks from schematic to layout, gaining practical experience. The lab's budget is Rs. 7,26,000 which was used to purchase desktop computers, Mentor Graphics software, a UPS system, and other equipment. The lab offers experiments on topics like current mirrors, amplifiers, and ADCs according to the curriculum, providing students a foundation in analog IC design.

Analog VLSI Design Lab

This lab is offered to [Link]., VLSI & Embedded System students and it is
specially designed and developed for the students to model basic analog IC building
blocks like various current mirrors, basic amplifiers. This lab is well provided with
mentor graphics back end tools for circuit level modeling using pyxis schematic
editor, layout editor, caliber for verification, and Eldo simulator. This lab gives
practical observation on design of different basic analog IC blocks from schematic to
layout. This gives a good foundation on analog IC design to the students. At the end
of the semester the student will handle any analog IC blocks from circuit level to
layout level. We also encourage students to take projects in analog VLSI. The Budget
of this lab is around Rs.7,26,000/-.
