UNDERGRADUATE ADMISSION REQUIREMENT Universitys General Requirement Every candidate who wishes to apply for the bachelor program in FEP has to fulfill the universitys general requirement and other terms as specified by the University. Minimum Requirement for STPM (Higher Certificate of Education [HSE]) Candidate i) Pass SPM (Malaysian Certificate of Education [MCE])/equivalent; ii) Pass Bahasa Melayu/Malaysian Language with distinction in SPM/equivalent; iii) Pass STPM with at least: - Grade C (CGPA 2.00) in General Studies/General Paper courses; and - Grade C (CGPA 2.00in two (2) other courses; and iv) Must have taken Malaysian University English Test (MUET). Minimum Requirement for Malaysian Ministry of Education Matriculation (KPM)/ UM Science Matriculation/UTM Basic Year i) Pass SPM/equivalent; ii) Pass Bahasa Melayu/Malaysian Language with distinction in SPM/equivalent; iii) Pass KPM (Matriculation of Education) Matriculation / UM Matriculation/ UTM Basic Year with CGPA 2.00; and iv) Must have taken Malaysian University English Test (MUET). Minimum Requirement for Equivalent Candidate i) Pass SPM/equivalent; ii) Pass Bahasa Melayu/Malaysian Language with distinction in SPM/equivalent; iii) Have other qualification that has been equivalently accepted by Malaysian Government and approved by the University Senate; and iv) Must have taken Malaysian University English Test (MUET). Program Special Requirement Every program offered in FEP has special requirement in terms of candidates qualification. The information on the special requirements are as follows: Bachelor of Accounting Malaysian Higher School Certificate (STPM) i) At least a Grade C+ (CGPA 2.33) in one (1) of the following courses in STPM: Mathematics Economics Geography Accounting Business Studies ii) Pass English and Mathematics at SPM level. (Pass with at least Grade C (CGPA 2.00) at STPM level for Mathematics courses can be considered fulfilling basic requirement for mathematics courses at SPM level). SMP OR Accounting/Life Science/Physical Science Matriculation i) With at least Grade C+ (2.33) in one (1) of the courses below: Mathematics Economics Accounting Business Administration ii) Pass English and Mathematics Courses at SPM level. (Pass Mathematics courses with at least Grade C (2.00) at Matriculation level can be considered fulfilling basic requirement for mathematics courses at SPM level) OR Equivalent Qualification i) Diploma in equivalent field or other qualification approved by UPM Senate. ii) Pass English and Credit in Mathematics courses at SPM level. Prerequisite for Malaysian University English Test (MUET) of the courses below: Basic Course - BBI 2409 Band 1, 2 Elective Courses (Level I) - BBI 2410, BBI 2411, BBI 2412, BBI 2413 Band 3 or pass BBI 2409 Elective Courses (Level II) - BBI 2414, BBI 2415, BBI 2416, BBI 2417 Band 4 or above and pass English Proficiency Course Level I* * Please complete AK4 form (course exemption) for course BB1 2409 if your MUET result is band 3 and above, and return them to
your department accordingly. This is to be completed in students the first semester.
