Problems

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

They are expecting the Internal Support Team to develop the network infrastructure plan.
This will include, but is not limited to:

1. Recommendations on network equipment

- To ensure that all equipment is working properly, the proponents recommend allocating
the company’s resources to purchase new computer equipment for the newly relocated
building. One of the purposes of the new network equipment is to avoid unforeseen
malfunction within the company’s network and equipment. With a new set of equipment,
employees can work efficiently and be more productive. In addition, the main purpose of
recommending new resources is for the company’s long-term success.

2. Recommendations on network cabling

- Technology is developing rapidly. The wiring infrastructure must be according to the

company’s requirement. We take into consideration if the company owns or leases the
building that is why we will go through with the building’s predetermined cabling system.
We recommend Cat6 cable to the company’s network it has a bandwidth capacity of 250
MHz, which can provide you with speeds capable up to 10 Gbps. It is also compatible
with Cat5 and Cat5E cables. "Cat6 cables are mainly used for computer networks that
reach 1000 Mbps, or 1 Gbps data transfer rate.

3. A network wiring plan including:

(a) Physical and Logical cabling layout
(b) A cabling plan for the server room
(c) Layouts of all MDFs and IDFs

1.6 Recommendations and Summary

The network proposal identifies and describes information such as computer specifications,
server components, cable layouts, routers and switches, and applications that will keep the
business running for a long time. We also want to specify that the topology used exclusively in
this project is a tree topology. This will also ensure the stability of the network throughout the
company's operations. Some equipment may be a bit expensive, but the network operations
department ensures that the equipment will provide efficient and productive operations. In other
words, it will be a good investment for the common interests of the company.
