WRITTEN STATEMENT OF DEFENCE OF THE DEFENDANTS

1. Save what is expressly admitted herein the Defendants deny each and
every allegation stated in the plaint as if the same was set forth and
traversed seriatim.

2. Paragraphs 2 and 3 of the plaint are admitted.

3. Paragraph 4 of the plaint is denied and the 2nd Defendant shall aver that
he is not in any way related to the Plaintiff to fall within the prohibited
degrees of consanguity with the 1st Defendant.

4. Paragraphs 5 (e) to (f) of the plaint are denied and the 2nd Defendant shall
aver that his father died in car accident on Masaka road before he was
born.

5. Paragraph 6 of the plaint is denied and the 2nd Defendant shall aver that
he is not a brother to the 1st Defendant and he does not belong to the
Nyonyi Nakisinge clan of Buganda.

6. Paragraph 7 of the plaint is denied and the 2nd Defendant shall aver that
his intended marriage to the 1st Defendant is not against the law and
customs , beliefs and good practices of Buganda culture.

 7. WHEREFORE the Defendant prays that this court dismisses the present

suit with costs.
