Washington County Reports – Legal Notice Rates – Effective January 1, 2020

Additional Affidavits: $15 each

Standard Flat-Rate Notices:

 Estate Notices: $160 (includes set-up fee, 3 insertions, 1 affidavit)

 Corporation Notices: $115 (includes up to 20 lines, set-up fee, 1 insertion, 1 affidavit; additional lines
at Per Line Rate) – notice types include Fictitious Name, Dissolution, Certificates of Organization

 Name Change Notices: $115 (includes up to 20 lines, set-up fee, 1 insertion, 1 affidavit; additional lines
at Per Line Rate)

 County Sheriff’s Office Sheriff’s Sales: $415 per sale/property (includes setup fee, up to 3 insertions, 1
affidavit). No header fee. No index fee. No discount/refund if sale cancelled after first insertion.

Per Line Rate notices: $40 set-up fee, including first Affidavit, plus $3.75/line/column/insertion (two columns
$7.50/line/insertion). Line rate calculated as follows: 10-point font (Times New Roman), 48 lines per page, two
columns per page.
Per line notices cancellations: If after first insertion, refund 50% of original invoice less $40 set-up fee; if after
second insertion, refund 34% of original invoice less $40 set-up fee. If canceled after line-rate for sale has already
determined, full amount of original invoice less $40 set-up fee (full refund if line-rate not yet calculated).

Unbound, Advertiser-generated Inserts: $1,700 flat rate for inserts weighing up to one ounce. Cost of inserts weighing
more than one ounce dependent on per-piece-weight, size and USPS regulations regarding periodical and/or first class
mailings; advertiser will be invoiced based on an estimate of mailing costs, with deviation in cost of more than $50
from estimate to be invoiced to the advertiser. Insert header and content subject to review and approval by publisher to
conform to date of publication and publishing standards.

Subscription rate (non-members): $85 [email or hardcopy, same rate]


Subscription rate (WCBA members): $40 (included in dues if journal emailed to member)
Subscription rate (WCBA members): $60 (hardcopy subscription)

PUBLISHING POLICIES:
1) All legal notices must be pre-paid unless approved by publisher.
2) Publisher has the right to decline to publish any material.
3) Price deviations in exceptional circumstances regarding individual notices are at the discretion of WCBA
administrative staff in consultation with the legal journal editor and the chair of the WCBA Finance and
Administration Committee or the chair of the Finance and Administration subcommittee designated to oversee
operations of the legal journal.
4) Placement and categorization of items submitted for publication: A.) Items which may have legal ramifications,
such as those having publication deadlines, or which may be required to be published by law, statute, rule or
Court Order, are considered a “legal notice”, which must be paid in advance by the advertising party, and for
which advertiser will receive an Affidavit; B.) Items of general information or relevance to the profession or
Bar Association that are not required to be published may be inserted in the format selected by, and at the sole
discretion of, the Publisher, which may include mention in the “Obiter Dictum” column, including
informational notices having no direct legal consequences. These notices will generally be published at no
charge and located at the beginning of the Obiter Dictum column but may be published as a paid display ad if
advertiser chooses to do so. C.) Communications from the Court pertaining to the profession generally, as
opposed to required publication notices, may be published at the discretion of Publisher as a “Notice to the
Profession”, which will generally be deemed to be a public service at no charge.
