Safety
StrongBack application requires minimal personal safety gear,
can be conducted quickly in a single step, and requires no hot
work. Because StrongBack is non-regulated, non-HazMat it can
be quickly delivered by passenger commercial air carrier to any
point in the world.
Speed and Simplicity
A StrongBack repair can be achieved in a few simple steps and
without the need for special tools or extensive training. Both
StrongBack compounds are applied with common putty knives or
straightedge glue spreaders, and mixing ratios are very “forgiving.”
StrongBack is ideal for installation in adverse field conditions
where less-than-perfect surface preparation is prevalent.

StrongBack GS-154 epoxy resin is first applied to critical voids

and pitted or compromised areas. StrongBack GS-561 is next
applied to the entire repair surface and acts as primarily as a
load transfer agent. The repair is then wrapped with StrongBack
resin-impregnated tape. This water-activated tape is wrapped
circumferentially or in a helical pattern depending upon the
extent of the repair.
