Clean Seal Capsules

Clean Seal Capsules are made from specially formulated heat-shrinkable film to encapsulate the ends of hose
and tube assemblies. Clean Seal Capsules eliminate possible re-contamination that is problematic with
traditional capping and plugging methods. These problems occur when ill-fitting caps and plugs are forced onto
assemblies, causing plastic particles to shear off into the hose or tube. Ill-fitting caps and plugs that fit too
loosely can also fall off during transportation.

Easy to use with the heat shrink gun or one of our heat shrink machine for low or high volume production.
Universal, clean fit up to 3” O.D. (80 mm). Shorter capsules available for angled/elbow fittings (i.e. 45° and 90°
fittings).

Clean Seal Capsules shrink quickly and cleanly and remain durable and secure. No particulates or sticky
residue left behind when capsules are removed.

Note: For removal, locate the tear strip at the bottom of the Clean Seal Capsule. Then just GRIP, RIP and SLIP
the Clean Seal Capsule off the hose or tube assembly end fitting.

Air Source
Connect the 308-8524, 233-7190, 265-4958 Hose Cleaning Launchers to a 550 to 760 kPa (80 to 110 psi) air
source.

In most applications, the compressed air supply to the hose cleaning launcher is supplied from a shop air
supply. A standard 8 to 15 cfm air compressor and receiver can be used, or a regulated bottle of inert gas (dry
nitrogen or carbon dioxide) having a minimum recommended operating gas pressure for projectile launching of
550 kPa (80 psi). A propulsion gas must be selected which is compatible with the system being cleaned. Its
pressure must not exceed 760 kPa (110 psi) for the 233-7191, 233-7192, 233-7193, and 265-4959 groups.

NOTE: The airline and fittings connecting the air source to the unit must have a minimum 13 mm (½”) inside
diameter.

5. Thread the locking ring with the nozzle

containing the projectile onto the firing head.
Make sure the threads are fully engaged and
tighten the locking ring hand-tight to seal the
locking ring to the firing head of the launcher. NOTE: Recover the used projectile to analyze the
condition and cleanliness of the hose.

7. Place the nozzle firmly against the end of the

hose or fitting, making a tight seal. The seal
must be airtight.
The projectile’s path in a complex system must be
considered. It may travel through partially restricted
hoses, connectors and open ball valves. In some
installations, it will be necessary to isolate the
system into separate sections. Any branch hose
coming from the main line must be capped. If more
than one path is available, cap one of the paths.

8. Depress the trigger, making sure it remains

depressed until the projectile emerges from the
other end of the hose. If the trigger is released
prior to the projectile emerging, the projectile
will remain in the hose until the trigger is 546-5747 Heat Shrink Gun (Portable)

Inspect the fitting to ensure the Clean Seal
Capsule has shrunk properly.
4. Place the hose or tube end fitting with Clean

comfortably fit into the Air Knife. The fittings can
be touching without issue.

The scheduled cleaning of Clean Seal System Air

Filters is vitally important to the correct temperature
and function of the heating element and shrinking
process. Without proper air flow through the
system, the heating element can overheat which
will cause internal damage. The quantity of airborne
contaminants varies from location to location. Daily
cleaning of the filter and air intake grill is required
when the machine is in use. If you have any
questions or concerns about cleaning procedures
or correct operation of the unit, please contact us
immediately at sales@ultracleantech.com or your
supplier outside the USA.
