The reacted in a mad way they were mad and rude and answered the question and rudely.

He ordered the dwarves to each to be put in a separate cell and to give them food and

He found out where all the dwarves were when he overheard the guards talking then he

The strange town is called Lake-town, and the town was a town of men who thought that
one day Thiror and Thrain would come back. The mouth of the forest was the town it said
on page 47 “The mouth of the forest was a strange town”. Pg 47

It’s a town of men it said on page 47 “Not a town of elves but of men” so I think that
means it’s a town of men. Pg 47

9. Why did the guards at Lake-town not keep a very careful watch?

Because it’s been so long since there was any need for them to even were about people
coming after them. Pg 48

10. Why were the raft-men elves so astonished at the appearance of the dwarves?

Because Thorin said “Thorin son of Thrain son of Thror king under the mountain!”. Pg

11. Why does the Master relinquish his own great chair to Thorin despite the fact that he is
not completely convinced that the dwarf is who he claims to be?

Because in the book it said the master saw there was nothing else for it to obey the
mineral clamour and he was to pretend to believe it was really him. Pg 49

12. How appropriate is the title of this chapter?

The title we appropriate because when he come back after years everyone was nice, he
got special treatment the got help from the doctors and overall, they got a warm welcome
back. Got the information from page 49

13. How did the Master respond to the news of the dwarves' plans to slay the dragon, Smaug,
and capture his treasure.

Ne said that the dwarves were too expensive and to let them go and bother Smaug and
see how that goes, and the master also figured out that he was really who he said he is
and, know that he should not underestimate a dwarf when it comes to getting revenge.

It’s because they were near the shadow of the mountain or it’s because their waiting for
the songs to come true, I think they don’t want to stay overnight until the songs come

This what the book said “the valley of Dale, turned from the Mountain on its road
to the Lake, flowing swift and noisily. Its bank was bare and rocky, tall and

shadowed by the Mountain’s arms the grey ruins of ancient houses, towers, and
