What resources are used when making a product?

Oil, coal, natural gas, metals, stone, and sand are natural resources. Other
natural resources are air, sunlight, soil, and water. Animals, birds, fish, and
plants are natural resources as well. Natural resources are used to make
food, fuel, and raw materials for the production of goods.
Good: Pens. This item is a type of good. The tips of the pens are made
from brass/nickel silver, which the ball-point is enclosed in. The ball itself
was made from stainless steel until 1961. It was then changed to tungsten
carbide.
Service: Transportation. This item is a type of service. Gasoline is the most
commonly used U.S. transportation fuel. Gasoline includes aviation
gasoline and motor gasoline. Finished motor gasoline includes petroleum
gasoline and fuel ethanol.
Good: Clothing. This item is a type of good. Our clothing comes from plants
(cotton, rayon), animals (leather, wool, down, silk), and petroleum
(polyesters, acrylics).
Service: Banks. This item is a type of service. Bank Deposits: money placed
into banks, including checking accounts and money market accounts.
Holdings of Stocks: publicly traded stocks can be easily converted to cash,
and are considered financial resources of an organization.
