It is one of the most authentic Thailand Festivals. It is celebrated every

year in the city of Lopburi or the City of Monkeys in honor of them. It is
celebrated during the last Sunday of the month of November. This
festival takes place at Wat Phra Prang Sam Yod, a temple.

During this week people offer food of fruits

and vegetables almost like a buffet for the
monkeys. These monkeys are as old as the
city, which is one of the oldest in the
country. This tradition is also related to
Buddhism. During the Festival, apart from
the food offerings, it is also common to find

musical processions and dances in the main streets in honor of the

apes, since honoring them will bring them good luck all year round.
