This short document discusses 3D printing and how it works in a layered fashion to create objects. First, a 3D model is made on a computer. Then, the printer builds the real object by laying down thin layers of plastic or other materials, one on top of the other, following the 3D model's design. When all the layers are added, the finished 3D printed object emerges.
