Travel project!

You are going to make a presentation about traveling. Before we make this presentation, you are
going to do a few assignments. You also need to work on the assignments from Taalblokken every
week. These will be uploaded to the class page. During the class calls we are going to set the
deadlines for these assignments. The final presentation will be graded for your report card.

Assignment 1: City streets.

Write down the English names of the things in the pictures below. Also describe in one sentence
where you have seen these things before.

1. bench. I have seen some throughout cities or on places that allowed to have a overlook of
a large area.
2. Crossing. I have seen them in most cities.
3. Graffiti. I have seen it mostly in the city of Heerlen and the Graffiti from the picture in art
lessons in middle school.
4. Skyscrapers. I have only seen skyscrapers in movies and the like, never In person
Assignment 2: Vocabulary

Match the green words with the sentences and write down the Dutch translation. Make this
assignment on a piece of paper and add the picture down below.

Assignment 3: Research..

1. Pick an English speaking country or city you are interested in, write down 3 places you
would like to know more about. Also write down why. (3 sentences for each place)
2. Go look for information on the web.

London eye. I would like to go on the London eye to see the view from their.
Buckingham palace. I am curious on how it would fully look, as well as the history behind it
Warhammer world. I know already a bit about it. but would like to visit it since it is part of one of my
hobbies and has exclusive items there.

Plan a trip to this city/country. For 2 adults. Your budget is 3000 euros for both travelers
- Include transportation (flights, trains, boats, bus, car rental)
- You have to stay at least 5 nights
