Vulcan, Alberta
The tiny town of Vulcan, Alberta has a population of under 2,000. By coincidence the
town has the same name as the home planet of Mr Spock, a character in the popular TV
and film series, Star Trek. This inspired the town to become a tourist attraction, and it is
now the official Star Trek capital of Canada and a favourite destination for science fiction
fans.
Visitors to the town in western Canada can see the 800-piece Star Trek collection on
display at the Vulcan tourism & Trek Station – the information office. They can also
participate in The Vulcan Space Adventure virtual reality game and take a self-guided Star

El Dorado is one of the most spectacular countries in the world with a wide range of
