    Revised Final Project Proposal

    Brandon Agee

    My final project’s working title is “Women’s Exclusion in American Drum Set History”.
    The project will most likely be formatted as a paper. I plan on talking about why women have
    been excluded from playing drum set with a focus on Viola Smith, one of the first professional
    female drummers. I will research I will try to bring my perspective to this paper being that I am
    in the majority of white male percussionists in the U.S. and want to see those in the minority
    continue to be included and thrive.
